RE: The Flashman Reportposted in Axis & Allies 1914USA builds a massive stack of infantry, and now has the French navy to help ship them over. Two more units reinforce Rome, but should the main American puss now be further north? America’s kitty is exactly where it should be.

RE: Tanks Special Ability to Remove Defender hits!posted in Axis & Allies 1914Seems like artillery/infantry will be a better choice than tanks. However, powers like the U.S. and U.K that rely on transports to get troops to the front may benefit from upgrading an infantry to a tank rather than paying for an additional transport. e.g. artillery (4) + tank (6) + transport (6) = 16
 v.s. artillery (4) + 2 infantry (6) + 2 transports (12) = 22I wouldn’t advocate that U.S. & U.K. go all into tanks, but it might be a good purchase option for that remainder 3.

RE: Is Germany screwed?posted in Axis & Allies 1914In the absence of rails I intend to buy transports (at least one on G1). Transports provide flexibility. If the western Allies goof, you hit them. If the Russians goof, you hit them. If neither of them goof, you grab Norway, Sweden, and Finland for their resources.

RE: Is Germany screwed?posted in Axis & Allies 1914Maybe it’s the other way around. Maybe Germany needs the space to give her time before the allies can reach Berlin. I agree that telegraphing what’s to come to the front lines is a disadvantage on the offense. However, it may be balanced by giving Germany an advantage when on the defense.

RE: Are you going to buy it?posted in Axis & Allies 1914Don’t get me wrong, you can still buy Fish and Chips, but street vending is largely prohibited. Wait. Does the game come with Fish and Chips? Because if it does I need to change my vote on the poll.
