So i hope you download aBattlemap so we can try it out. You might be right but in revised the Aussie IC strat worked very good often because Japanesse player hadn´t faced it much at all, thus didn´t know wtf to do :)

Laways good to not be predictable =)

    • RE: Is the G1 Egypt Attack a Good Move?

atm my standard G opening is:

Attack egypt without bomber, to soften it up for italy
      attack SZ2 with 2 subs
      SZ9: with bomber
      SZ12 with 3 fig.

absically you want to hit everywhere where you have 50/50 or better vs UK navy on G1.

I also want to add that the additional IPC uk and US will have from Island hoping in japans territories should tip the initial lack of ipc into europe.

For example, india won´t be taken anytime soon by japan, africa is safer etc.

Imho, the SZ29 coglomerate will only end up in a total destruction for the UK Indian-Pacific navy. The Japanese can strike with a formidable battlegroup of 1 BB, 1 AC and 2 fgt that will leave none alive, maybe only the SS if it submerges.

      Thus us incorrect.

If you look at map you see that sz29 is 3 spaces away from SZ37 so only 2 figs can attack.

Thing is there is no way Japan can take Aus IC if UK1 puts one there and sens India fleet to SZ29 and UK reunits fleet SZ29 to australia fleet, and puts down either a carrier+fig or battleship+destroyer. This coupled with an initial US build and japan is in full turtle mode.

Then UK2 Uk builds mostly in Europe to put pressure on Germany. US go island hopping.

    • RE: Allies: Holding off Japan

Normaly 2 arm is not a problem, ofc depends i mean if he go all out tanks r1 Im still ok, round 2 if he went all out tanks again i just move tanks back from Yak, and then the allies will win.

One reason for landing in China is to make Japan lose Ground units, japan is very low on units and without them they can´t do their fast expansion.

My take on slow japan first.

      Attack FIC
3 inf, 1 fig Kill the units if possiable if Fig lives land in Sinkiang.

      Kill transport in SZ59

Attack New guniea, Australia will fall soner or later anyway, if succesful its annoying for japan.

Also attack japanese sub with your sub. (kinda moot but anyways )

As russia you should have stacked 6 inf in Buryatia, and sent 2 arm from Russia to Yakutsk (i usually open with west russia belo attack and 3 inf, 3 arm Buy.)

The easiest way to cripple japan is to kill of it´s land units and make sure there are to many targets.

    • RE: Allies always win in my games. Axis strategy?

Amen Brother…  Axis need to be offensive, axis have shorter supply lines and can take losses a little bit better then the allies.

      @calvinhobbesliker:

      @Nix:

It is somewhat viable to put ic on Australia, pull fleet to sz29 and put down BB+sub for 2 rounds get a US build in pacific and go joint island hoping.

      Do you mean 39?

Nope actually do mean sz29 with india fleet, australia fleet stays put, join in sz 39 with a Naval build on UK2

You should play a game on this board so we can se how in the hell you manages this? (no offence)

I mean you must be doing something totally wacky… Like not attack with russia at all or do very risky stuff that loses you the game. etc.

KGF and KJF are easy compared to forcing the USA to fight on two theatres, both Atlantic and Pacific.

Well it´s not “harder” its in most cases just plain stupid.

If you have a plan sure otherwise there is no sense in doing that. If you doubt me we can play a couple of games if you like where you play allies and divide US troops and im certain you will lose a lot of games.

    • RE: Russian moves to start game

I recommend attacks on Belorussia and Westrussia, Ukraine leves your armour exposed for counterattack…

Also usually roll with a 3 inf, 3 arm buy

Agree with Zhukov, imo iPC´s are better spent on Air units then naval units, 3 bom, 2 inf or 4 fig…  G1
