I was wondering if this developer was working on bringing the game to tablets, especially iOS. That would definitely give us something that TripleA does not.

RE: Battleship Bombardmentposted in Axis & Allies 1942 2nd Edition
Thanks so much for that link! I had seen the 1942.2 FAQ, but not the Revised one (that’s a long one!). Looks like I read the rules correctly, but the FAQ clarification makes a lot more sense, to me anyway.

RE: Battleship Bombardmentposted in Axis & Allies 1942 2nd Edition
I don’t think that is the source of my confusion…
I get that Battleships can fire in each cycle of a sea combat, in both versions. I also get that in both versions a Battleship that takes part in the sea battle part of an amphibious assault cannot also do Bombardment. I’m asking specifically about Battleship Bombardment, and if there is a difference with it for these two versions of the rules.
By my reading:
For 1942.2, Battleship bombardment is a step of the Amphibious Assault sequence, which would only occur once. (Rules page 15)
For Revised, Battleship bombardment is listed as taking place in the opening fire step of each cycle of a land battle, and would take place multiple times in a land battle that has multiple cycles. (Rules page 15)

Battleship Bombardmentposted in Axis & Allies 1942 2nd Edition
Looking for a rules clarification. If I understand correctly, in 1942.2, a Battleship can only fire once in a given combat, because it has its own step in the Amphibious Assault Sequence and that step can only occur once. In Revised, however, a Battleship can fire once per cycle in a combat, because that is part of the Opening Fire step which takes place each cycle. Is this correct? Thanks!

Thanks - so does it play for the Minor, Major, or Total Victory?

I did find that Stats panel, thanks, so yeah, that is good for tracking your progress towards the Victory Conditions. But to know what the actual conditions are, in the case of Revised anyway, you have to look at the printed manual or pdf?

RE: Pieces identical to 1940 2nd Editions?posted in Axis & Allies 1942 2nd Edition
I guess a follow up question would be, did they provide enough units in the box to really play the games without bolstering the sets, either through purchase of additional units or combining of sets?

Pieces identical to 1940 2nd Editions?posted in Axis & Allies 1942 2nd Edition
I was wondering if the pieces in this set are exactly the same as the ones in 1940 Europe/Pacific 2nd Editions, other than the instances in which they are listed as being different (like the Russian transports - Liberty/Baltic Timber). Thanks!

Sorry - I meant to post this in the 1942.2 Forum, and it won’t let me delete. I’ll post there instead. If any mods have privileges to do so, please delete.

TripleA - Viewing victory conditions?posted in TripleA Support
I’m just getting started using TripleA, and I was wondering if there is a way to view Victory Conditions for the game you’re playing. I was playing WW2 Revised, and couldn’t figure out how to do that. Thanks!
