      Totaly unexpected that the US would take Italy, but UK was almost certain, I took out 6 german planes 66 pu + 25 pu of Italy. So I feel it was worth the “risk” That seabattle went real bad for you, but my odds were good anyway, but I feel the pain. Thanks for the game!

      In the old forum, every thread had a little icon below the title indicating that I have posted in it. I loved it for two reasons: Checking out old games of mine and also find games very easily, even when I already read the most recent post earlier without being able to download the file.

      2.: Path at the bottom (not that important)
      After posting in a thread, I am on the bottom of the screen. In the old forum, the path to the thread was at the very top AND at the very bottom, which meant I could easily click on it to return to the subforum. The new forum lack this and only have it at the top.

      Some of these things are theme dependent. Right now we’re using the default theme but it is possible to either make requests to the NodeBB developers or create a child theme. I do eventually want to create a child theme. Or possibly use a theme called Onyx.

      BTW, your position wasn’t good now but I don’t think hope was lost completely. You’re still holding Egypt, Moscow, Gibraltar AND India, and we are already at turn 19. This is quite an achievement and even though I made more money than you for quite some time I wasn’t able to crack these important nuts.

      It was a great game and quite unlike anything I ever played before. And 38 turns!

      I vaguely recall making some poor judgements on the Europe side in the early turns that were compounded by poor dice. This game was a great illustrator for me of the point that battles with 80% odds are not always the right move. I thought after that you almost certainly had it, and that you probably could have won it earlier but were waiting for more certain odds. Losing the German fleet was the most decisive point that turned the game. And I think after a bit of bad dice in the beginning I often had pretty good dice through the rest of the game.

      I’ll definitely play another and can take either side. You can decide. I became pretty obsessed with this game (and found the turns difficult to figure out given the number of units and theatres and the need to coordinate the different allies) so I slowed down my other games substantially. I found I couldn’t do them all. So I will prioritize those other games for the next few days. If you want to play axis, feel free to start. I just might be slow for the next few days. If you want allies, it might be a few days before I can start.

      I was not flaming you, I was not distorting facts. I was not insulting you. I was simply stating what had happened. If you feel that makes you look bad - well think about what that means…

      You don’t believe me that I originally planned to place the units split in W Germany and Germany, and that’s your right. It’s up to you. Let me just tell you, that I’m playing 10 games simultaneously right now and therefore am not focusing on each and every turn as much as I would do if I was playing only 2-3 games. That’s not an excuse, it’s the explanation how those things can happen.
      I can live with it, but I can not really “learn from it” and “be better next time” as you suggest, because I already know about the Denmark opener.

      As I already said - you have every right to act like you did. If you play this game for the results, which is fine, it makes sense. If you play it for the satisfaction of being better than your opponent and thus beating him that’s something else. I doubt this win will give you a lot of satisfaction, but it all comes down to what you value more.
