@il_duce’s_finest:
USA; options and money, also like taking N Africa on first turn and taking S Europe shortly there after.
What kind of Axis player allows you to take S Europe so quickly….If you take Algeria first turn…your transports should die if playing a competent player…and a counterattack is possible…
It’s kinda like marijuana…if it were legalized(might need to start another thread for this) the government could make billions of dollars in taxes…but the problem is most people see it as “wrong” and that we couldn’t live in a country where something that is not even as harmful as alcohol(IMO) exists…
can a fighter move 4spaces, attack, and then land in a carrier occupying the Sea Zone it attacked in?
I’m going allies…I think axis made a big mistake by wasting so many ipc’s on industrial complexes…the Russians don’t really need Caucasus so they can pull all those troops back to Russia…if Germany gets taken over, it won’t be able to use the industrial complex to build units anyway…so I think if the allies play smart they can win this…but it depends on whose turn it is…
but if you send the carrier and threat your fighters as cargo
you say you wont attack with them than you may move them 4 more move beacuse they were cargo they didnt attackif the carrier was destroyed they would be to
so the other option is risk
but it can help a lot sometimes
this is incorrect….this would increase the range of the fighter, which insn’t a legal move…you can’t launch the planes after the carrier has moved…
it’s gone man…gone…
I still disagree with the placement of navy units in the Baltic…If anywhere…you’d need them in the Med(for Africa, Caucasus, Middle East…) but if I saw Germany building a Baltic fleet…I’d just build a few aircraft…maybe a sub(probably not)…it wouldn’t bother me if my British Airforce was dead…as long as there’s still a big hole in the Baltic Sea…which is inevitable anyway…the smartest thing to do with that navy is to keep it put…relieving pressure on Eastern Europe, Germany, Karelia, and Norway
If they create their own nation…and have trouble…are we going to have another Mexico on our hands? More people to stop at the border?
I’ve conducted a suicide attack before knowing that I could not win, but also knowing I could severly damage an air fleet (most recently against TM).
that’s what I did in my current game against my friend(amateur)….he was stupid enough to have 3-4 fighters and only 1-2infantry(forgot exactly how many) on Norway after G1…so as UK I landed 2inf, 2tnk, plus 1BB shot, plus
a bomber…it came down to my bomber vs. his fighter…i decided to go for it, thinking that his fighter is more valuable than my bomber…and i succeeded in killing the fighter, but my bomber was killed as well…all in all i destroyed the majority of his fighters at the end of round 2…as of now, it is
Rus3 and he has one fighter and one bomber and NO navy…
what are you trying to say Amon?
check the thread about “How to defend against strat bombing raid”…i think it’s in the Axis and Allies forum
Amon-Sul
Put allies on transport (and move transport) during YOUR turn.
They get to unload and attack during their turn. This means the transport is floating with units on it for a while.
-Nope….in rules it basically says this:
1.Ally loads the troops on your transport during his turn(he can’t move your transport ever to pick up or drop off…the transport must be in that seazone already before he loads)
2.You move transport to a seazone adjacent to a land territory.
3.Your ally can unload his troops next turn…
so it takes 3-4 turns to get this set up(not the greatest idea, i’ve never used it)
I posted my Asian Wall Strat on a few threads…check the one about “New British Navy” …that should help you out…
they can hit Egypt(assuming no Africa bids and the Ukraine fighter wasn’t taken out)with the following:
2inf
2arm
2ftr
1bom
IMO they can easily take it…just have to use a few more resources, but it would be worth it to take out the Russian fighter…
exactly, thanks for the clarification kyrial
Meaning if another players fighter is on the carrier…not yours though…correct?..(have to clarify)
I HATED the US in 2nd edition, but i find them a little more interesting in revised…just because of their increased ipc and the extra trannie…but all in all…they’re boring…
I don’t like the Idea unless it will help out the Asia Wall Strat(see thread about New British Navy)….Russia needs the fighters in the homeland…NOT India, NOT Africa…THE HOMELAND…
