These are the new official stat cards for every unit in the game.

RE: Sniper abilities
No unit in official A&A Miniatures by WotC has an ability called “Sniper Scope”. I suspect you donwloaded someones home-made card.

RE: Plane cover
My understanding is that airplane facing is important for a number of things such as returnng fire from the bround in the advanced rules but dog fighting in the air between planes has no facing.
Actually it was the optional rulesetcalled the “Expanded Rules” that uses aircraft facing, and that ruleset was not widely accepted by the masses, and at the very least is not used in the official WotC tournement rules.
But yes, they made it more difficult to aircraft from the ground unless it was facing you.

RE: The official new rules
Broken! units with aggression
BA-10m They can move before attacking. Therefore move into an enemy tanks hex. Is this a rear attack?
Sweet. 24 hrs and you broke it!

RE: Second cover roll
yeah, that make’s it easier to understand, if i’m 2 hex’es away the target has cover.
Assuming you have LOS , if that line-of-soght crosses a hedge then yes the defender would get cover.
another question come’s to mind, are there any restriction’s for line of sight when firing past friendly or enemy units.
No. A hex is considered to be rough;y 100 yards, so a dozen soldiers in that space dont reperesnt enough of a presense to block LOS.
is the expert rulebook worth getting or is everything covered in the advanced rulebook,
i have only played a few games of miniatures. The Expanded Rulebook is OK if you find someone else to use it to, but because its “optional” its not widely accepted IMO.

RE: Second cover roll
No, cover just makes the worst effect you can recieve be Disrupt. It provides no other benefits.
The hedge stuff was confusing for sure.
If you are directly adjacent to a hedgerow, you can see through it with no problems. (Makes sense I guess, poke your head through the undergrowth and fire).
If your target is just on the other side of a hedgerow, you can still fire on him.
Otherwise treat the hedgerow as if it were a hill or any other type of blocking terrain that impedes line-of-sight.

RE: Miniatures for trade.
Normally those distinctions dont matter, but when trading there is a big difference between a Set II Char Bis and a Set VI Char Bis.
-
RE: Second cover roll
If you make cover you can only be disrupted, no matter how brutal the actual attack would have been
-
RE: Miniatures for trade.
im have some miniatures to trade, heres the list
1939-1945 (i think its set 2, the one that says now with bigger tanks)1939-1945 is Set VI (or Set 6 if you’re not from Rome)
Though as the 1st of the “larger size” sets, its been derogatively called “Version 2”

The official new rules
Stacking:
Stacking with friendly units: You only have three friendly units in a single hex, and only one of them can be a vehicle. The stacking limit only applies at the end each phase. Units can temporarily exceed the stacking limit during the movement or assault phase. Units that exceed the stacking limit are moved back to the previous occupied hex if possible until the overstack is corrected.
Aircraft: Instead of each player placing all of their aircraft during their own flight phase, players alternate placing aircraft with the first player placing the one aircraft, the second player placing the one aircraft. Continue alternating placement until both players have placed all of their aircraft.
Artillery units without the Antiair ability cannot attack aircraft. The ability Crack Shot doesn’t give +1 to attack rolls against aircraft.
Building an Army: There is no limit on the number of units that an army can contain.
A max of 10% of the army can be spent on Obstacles.
Armies can be of 100, 200, or 400 point value. An army of 200 points (or less) is the suggested standard army.
A player’s army has be constructed within the following historical limitations:
German, Hungarian, Rumanian, Slovakian, and Italian units can go in the same army.
Soviet units can’t be in army with any other nationality.
Japanese units can’t be in an army with any other nationality.
Units from the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, South Africa, and Canada can be in the same army.
Units from France, Belgium, and the United Kingdom can go in the same army.
Nationalist Chinese can be in the same army as United States and United Kingdom units.
Polish units can’t be in an army with any other nationality.
Free Polish units (Polish units deployed after 1939) and Free French (French units deployed after 1940) can be in the same army as United States, Canadian, Australian, South African and United Kingdom units.
Units from Greece and the United Kingdom can be in the same army. -
RE: A&A minis in iPhone App Store
The only problem I see with this is you have to add a hundreds-of-dollars iPhone obssession to your hundreds-of-dollars A&A Minitaures obsession to make it work :-D

RE: New Rules/ Stacking Limits
I’m thinking they are opening pandoras box.
Yes, you used to be able to bump an isolated infantry every now and then, but it was easy to fugure out.
If you wait until the end of the turn it will a nightmare to manage.
As you said, you move 2 Inf into a hax that already conatins two inf. The two original Inf now try charge forward in an MG and get disrupted so they cannot move. But its the end of the turn and you’ve moved a dozen units. Now what, you have to “unmove” the first two Inf that you moved to fix the overstack, hoping you remember which hexes they came from?
It gets insanely worse with vehicles.
No, that will break the game. They’ve done some odd things in the past, but this will break the game.
I have to beileve that the rule will be different than we are guessing. Something like, any unit that is overstacked cannot Attack. So you can overstack all you want, but if you dont resolve it by the end of the turn then that unit is pretty much a hood ornament. Or something equally different.
Thanks for the heads up, we’ll all have to keep our eyes peeled.

RE: Always win with Russia
am familiar with PBEM, but never played it. Would be willing and interested to look into it.
Let me know if you decide to try out PBEM…

RE: Plane cover
Everything you said, rule-wise, is correct.
No it doesn’t make a ton of sense.
They hacked aircraft into the game, and I think they did it poorly.
As soon as WotC hires me as a game designer, I’ll be sure to fix it
