I have my painted pieces posted in Allworkandnoclay’s accurate miniatures thread around page 35. My pieces are nowhere near his quality but I’m getting a little better.

I also made this dice board from wood and Foam rubber just drew the Hammer & Sickle cut out the yellow then the red and glued them in. The German colour one is my friends he made years ago using leather. If you like the sound of the dice crashing together don’t go with the foam rubber, we call it the sniper board. for the scoreboard I painted beer caps white then glued them onto a cookie sheet then glued magnets under the Infantry.

It’s made on bristol board. (2/$1) It’s two pieces vertically plus about 4 extra inches so that’s $1.50. I printed out a map from BGG by drago74 drew grids on it and then grids on bristol board twice as big, then drew the map square by square. Each paint colour cost $1 each at dollar store 6 countries, the sea and the Arctic = $8 And the Sharpie knockoff was 2/$1 with tax all things considered it cost around $15. I spent about 2 hours a day for 2 weeks or so on it. It’s nowhere near the quality of any of Imperious Leaders maps but I had fun making it and we’ve played twice on it now and it works well, though I should add a couple more blow up boxes for the Eastern front. I was going to take IL’s file to Staples and have it made up but that would have cost around $75 so I figured I’d have a go at it and I think it turned out OK.
Here’s a shot of set up and mid-game. Japan has 3 researchers and Us has 1. We ran out of time on this game and will have to continue next Sunday. Tomorrow it looks like 2 player Global.

Here are some shots of the map I made and painted. I really wanted to get this game but the eBay price is prohibitive. I own AA42, AAP&E40as well as Battle of the Bulge, so I have plenty of units. For the Scientists we just use upturned beer caps, of which we accumulate plenty during play. We don’t use Victory cities as we play until surrender. It needs a couple more blow up boxes, most notably for East Ukraine. Any criticism would be helpful.

Just finished the Italian Infantry. I’m not happy with the tanks so I’ll probably change the paint scheme on them. The last pic is a shot of the process I use, I stick them onto nails with blue sticky tack, I find it easier this way as I tend to mess up the paint if I hold them with my fingers, it makes dipping them easier as well.

I checked with Allwork earlier if it was OK to post the pics here, he’s a tremendous influence on all of us that paint these, I can’t wait to see his German infantry. I’m painting the Italians now. I have them almost done I just have to paint the bases. I’m going with the three gun flag for mine, I hate painting circles
More Brits and Chinese.
All my naval pieces are painted the same pretty much except the Aircraft Carriers. I did them this way to keep down confusion of what is what on the board. Also to save time

Finally got a camera and these are my latest finished units: French Inf, Artillery, Tanks, Mech inf, AC and Air Force.

The rulebook says that Bombers dropping off paratroopers can join a ground assault but not do a strategic bombing run. Does this include assisting the troops it drops off?
Last week playing AA50 the UK left London relatively empty as Germany had only one transport in range but no troops it could pick up. I think he had a tank and 3 infantry. Germany had 3 Bombers and 3 Inf in Berlin, picked them up and dropped them in London, surviving the AA guns, and took the Capital.
It seems to me that it is perfectly legal but I know this is probably why the rule has been changed in AAG40.
Also, we only rolled one round of AA gun defense. Should we have rolled one for the drop off and one for the attack?
definitely playing today in a couple hours, shortly after noon EST. If any one has any advice or helpful criticisms of either my tweets (I still don’t know if they’re getting out there or if any one cares) or our play please let me know on here or Twitter
Game went well but next time we will use G40 rules for paratroopers, the win felt cheap as UK had no fear of invasion until Germany developed Paratroopers. Just learned about #hashtags so I will use them next time for easier categorization. Will likely be playing AA42 next Sunday or 2nd ED. Check out round by round action of last Sunday @MostHolyAandA on twitter.
If everything works out we will be playing AA50 today and I will be tweeting it @MostHolyAandA follow me and give me for my bad strategies!
Here’s some setup cards I made for the Alpha +2. Not as nice as TwistedAries but it’s my small contribution.
