Oh and maybe Most Holy could host a sunday night “drinking game” event. lol.
I got it! Take a shot every time an infantry falls. China and Japan will be hammered by the end of round one and in the hospital by the time America is at war!

Well done, I love seeing how crazy other people get with this game! Gives me hope for my own sanity to see I’m not the craziest, lol.
Thanks Jeremy! Episode 13 is up on the blog: http://dicetruction.blogspot.ca/ and on iTunes. It’s the final nail in the Axis coffin, round 8 of Global Alpha 3.

Beaut! Can’t wait. Thanks so much brother! It’s like Christmas eve for dice geeks.
Checking in at Best Western right now. We’ll be in room 143! Whiskey, beer and hockey!
edit: we are chilling out drinking Jameson and beers in room 143 at the Best Western Durham on Bloor in Oshawa! If you’re in the area stop by!
We’re about 10 minutes away, stopping for a bite off Brock road at Harvey’s. I hope there’s room at the inn!
I’m working until 17:00 ish Friday and then Ray and I are driving up. Should be there around 20:00-21:00. Didn’t book a room yet, figure we’ll grab one when we arrive, then start drinking, heavily. Looking forward to meeting you all.
It would make sense as these molds had to have been made some time ago.
Thanks Wild Bill. You’ve said what I’ve been thinking. To all the naysayers about this new game: You don’t have to buy this and it’s been stated that there will be a reprint of Global. This is not a game that will replace said reprint. This is an entry level game that you can take or leave. Personally I’m looking forward like crazy to this game and I don’t even care if the IC’s are printed on the map or made of cardboard. What excites me is the new sculpts. If the map is like the one that came with 42 I’ll never use it. I’ve never used my 42 map, I went out and spent $60 on blowing it up to poster size and I’ll do the same with this one and hang the original in my garage as more ambiance for our war room. Quit bitching and take it for what it is. Entry level game for introducing players to this awesome game that so many of us love. I remember being introduced to classic back in the early 90’s and loving it and wanting my own copy but not finding it for less than $50 here in Canada. At the time that was out of my price range for a board game so I gave it up for 15 years or so. Then I found 42 for $40 online one day and now in the last 3 years have spent a upwards of $500 and countless hours enjoying this game in almost all of its iterations. Hell I forked over $100 to a podcasting host and $60 on a microphone to podcast our games. This 41 game could be a gateway drug to a whole new generation of people like us who will come here and complain about the NEXT version of the game (as long as Gargantua doesn’t scare them away) You don’t have to like it but I really don’t get all the acid that’s been hurled at this new game. What do you think an expansion pack would cost anyway, with all the new sculpts that this is supposed to have? Probably $20, maybe less. So it’s 10 bucks more, who cares? if you want that 10 bucks back buy 10 and break it up and sell the pieces on eBay and you’ll be getting the new game for free.
As to the talk that this is a joke by WotC: It F-ing better not be because I love the idea of new pieces.
And if any of you are offended by anything I said: I don’t care, I love you all. Chugaluggapoketokeeatsleeprepeat.
Episode 12 is up on the blog: http://dicetruction.blogspot.ca/ and on iTunes.
I’ll be bringing my war chest, and maps for Global, Anniversary, 42, and classic. The latter three are custom oversized.
Episode 11 of the podcast is up at http://dicetruction.blogspot.ca it’s round 6 of our game of Axis & Allies Global 1940 Alpha 3 mentioned above.
In this round you can see the pro’s and cons of splitting up nations such as we do for USA and UK.
I did my moves for UKpacific then went to grab food for everyone while Mugsy did his stuff with UKEurope. I mistakenly moved some of the units west of India in non com but Mugsy didn’t notice and also moved them. When I got back he had used them in a fight in Egypt but luckily I caught it and he re-did his move. This was my fault as once the units go west of West India they belong to the Europe economy. It is a drawback of playing this way but few mistakes like this happen. On the other hand you will witness perfect harmony between the two American minds since Japan was not a threat I as USAPAC needed little in the way of units. I get the point that in a game where one side might want more than the other side would prefer to give up, however this will also occur in the mind of an individual player just as it would for two players and I find it beneficial for two minds to be able to hash out reasons for needing more here or there.
Anyway let me know your thoughts either here or on my blog or in an iTunes review if you like or dislike the Dicetruction Podcast.

Japan is in serious trouble as the USA and ANZAC pound away at their economy and Germany faces the fact that they now have to turn around and deal with the democracies in the west and can’t just head straight to the USSR.
