I would buy it but I would also be upset and feel like WOTC is cheating me out of my money because they should already have this included for a $70.00 BOARD GAME.

Actually one thing I noticed is that Bungie is using the same Spartan characters from the Halo book series. (Like I said I am a fan and when I can I read the books). However as you mentioned if you introduce a new enemy weapon ect… people will ask why it wasn’t in the original games. And based off of my assumption if Bungie does go by the book series they will have to introduce a lot of new weapons, at least from the Marines. This would be interesting in terms of both multiplayer and campaign. Ill just have to wait for the beta to find out but I just hope Bungie will not take the series over board.

Little things like that would prevent me from using it. I have tried it in the past and Triple A is a good way to develop strategies when you do not feel like setting up the board game.

Some people have said that a Triple A version will be available for it, but I don’t know much about it.

I figured that was what happened.  This scenario is why I have trouble as Japan pulling the trigger on assualts that should work, but could also go very wrong.  I probably play too timid because of it.

I hear you on that dinosaur. This is why when people say invade U.S. I say to them, “good luck”.

I don’t know about you guys but I am a big Halo fan. However with the recent Halo Wars, Halo ODST, and now Halo Reach I am afraid Bungie is going to kill a once good series. I mean come on Halo was practically the reason why the original xbox was a hit. Halo wars was fun but there was not a version for the PC. WHAT THE F!?!?! Why would you make a RTS for a game console but not for computer. Strategy games for me (and most of the gamers I know) are better using a mouse instead of a controller. Next came ODST. The story mode was good, and Fire fight was a female K-9 on Legendary. However after 2 months I grew tired of the darn thing and the only reason why I still have my copy is so I can play the Halo Reach Beta sometime this year. My question to Halo fans out there is, how do you feel about Halo Reach?

All my escorts were blown up in the previous battle against the U.S. ANZAC just came in to pick on the left overs. The battleship was not damaged either. And ya, so much for harrasing ANZAC the next turn.

I was playing as Japan and all was well in the South Pacific. I had 1 battleship and a carrier loaded with 2 fighters in the seazone that surrounds the Solomon islands. 4 brave ANZAC fighter took me on and won!!! with only 2 casualties :-o

Since the will not last past turn 1 might as well make them usefull :wink:

Say that it can be used as an educational tool to learn about history, and that the game can be used to look at possible scenarios that could have happened. :-D

Not to mention one country has to be Cannon Fodder

That’s what Im hoping for, unless Larry put some rule were Japan and Russia have a non aggression treaty for good, but I dont think players would like this.

Out of the many brave souls that have taken on WOTC I count only 2 have been succesful. Im not discouraged though Ima keep on trying.

I guess it would have to depend where you live. I live in Houston, TX so this one specialty shop in Rice Village always plays AA whenever it gets enough people. What Im trying to say is try your local specialty shop.

P.S. Are there any players here from Houston or Texas?

If the U.S. does not have a combined income (were the U.S. spends 50 towards pacific and 50 towards europe) the I think Japan should not even focus on Russia. The already have a beast after them why be distracted and attack another? Sure Germany will distract most Russian forces But with Japan also attacking this takes up resources and will give the U.S. an opportunity to just pick a Japan’s defense. Again only if the U.S. has no combined income. If the U.S. does have a combined income then that will drastically change strategies.
