      For Once I am proud of my home team. All I ask is for the Houston Texans to make it to the playoffs and I will be one happy fan.

    • RE: Halo or Cod

      Halo my favorite…I am trying to get use to Reach. I enjoy Call of Duty but now they are just milking the franchise, you have Black Ops coming out, with a Modern Warfare 3 in the coming year. Microsoft did the same with halo, but they finally put it to rest with Reach. I enjoy both for their story lines, and multi-player, but in my opinion I believe halo requires more playing skills than call of duty online.

      P.S. I hate being quick scoped or No Scoped in either game  :cry:

    • Re-Building Japan's MIC

      Even though this has not happen in one of my games, lets say the US is able to take main land Japan. From my understanding the Major IC is then demoted to a Minor IC. What if the Japanese are able to re-take Japan, could they then upgrade the minor IC? I am asking this because I understand that you can not build a new IC on any Island territory.

    • RE: Anyone ever play with no luck Dice rules

      Seeing that Axis and Allies does not use rules such as terrain effects, experience of troops, or weather effects I consider the luck of the dice to compensate for these items.

    • Germany to Africa, how?

      How did the desert fox originally get to North Africa? Did Germany use Italian transports, or did they have a Naval Base in Southern France?

      P.S. I get better answers here than a darn search engine, so thanks again in advance  :-)

      hmm, after looking at a REAL map, France is closer to England, than Norway is to Germany. Okay I caught myself, France would have been the better landing in terms of able to support it with supplies and air support

      @CWO:

      I suppose that the Alllies didn’t invade Norway for the same reason that they didn’t invade quite a number of Japanese-held territories in the Pacific: because doing so wasn’t essential, and that a better use of their forces was to concentrate on the objective of knocking Germany out of the war as quickly as possible.  Liberating France was an essential preliminary to invading Germany itself; liberating Norway wasn’t.  Defeating Germany liberated Norway without the need for the direct invasion of Norway; liberating Norway, on the other hand, would not have brought about Germany’s surrender, so concentrating on Germany was the more effective option.  Similarly, in the Pacific, the Americans concentrated on capturing only the islands that were vital to achieving the twin goals of liberating the Philippines and putting mainland Japan into range of their strategic bomber forces.  They ignored the Japanese-occupied Dutch East Indies for that reason, and also because cutting off Japan from its supplies of raw materials from the DEIs could be done more easily by attacking Japanese convoys than by invading the DEIs.

      Yes, but geographically speaking would it not have been easier to liberate Norway, establish a base then invade Germany through an amphibious assault to the North? Instead of traveling through inland France? Its just something that I’ve always wondered.

      Good point, but I thought Norway had Iron Ore reserves that were important to the German war effort. In my book that would have been a target to either take out or occupy.

    • Why was Norway never liberated?

      Of course it was liberated at the end of the war but did the allies have any invasion plans for it? Just a question that I always wondered about.

      @Zarnak:

      I got AAP40 from Asgard games on Kirby.  I’ve reserved a copy of AAE40 for Tuesday.  I recommend calling ahead to order it.  They seem to order on request more then in bulk.

      I live in Houston and this is also where I bought AAP40, I would recommend this store to your friend.

      What I did not understand about the movie is that it took place in the future right? Humans can now travel long distances in space, but when it come to war apparently they still have to bomb a target like they did in world war II!!! fly over the target and release the load!! seriously?!?! your in the future, now-a-days you can destroy a target from hundreds of miles away…anyways aside from that i enjoyed the movie.

      @WILD:

      @Piazza2425:

      If I was japan, i’d consider going through the empty territories of Mongolia to get to the Russian territories that do not have any men in them.

      I think that Mongolia is considered a strict neutral, so I think you would be activating all other strict neutrals as pro allies if you invade.

      I’m not sure though, maybe their is an exception for Mongolia. I seem to remember (its a little foggy) in a Pac Q & A Krieghund clarifying an attack on a Mongolian tt saying the opposite. Only the tt your attacking is involved, and the others don’t turn. There was even a heated debate over it. Maybe this was over turned (or will be) in favor of the strict neutral rules that were in djensens preview.

      I think Mongolia should be considered a Pro-Soviet country in Global, but who knows may be a strict neutral or not.

      Not a bad idea, but by invading true neutral Mongolia Spain and other key neutrals become pro-allied and Spain will give the allies a landing pad in Europe, and in my opinion its not worth it.

    • RE: Star wars

      Episode VI all the way, i like the big space battle at the very end, although i tried recreating the exact same battle with the exact same units as the movie in my computer game Empire at War and I must say its impossible for the rebells to win in that version…(the death star always blows up my Calamari Cruisers aka Battle Ships)…but then again the rebels won because the force was with them  :-D
