      O

I will be adding geomorphic urban maps to my site that allow you to build a very large Stalingrad or Arnhem type city scenario.

These maps are currently undergoing some playtesting, but check the OPM website listed in the other thread on Rommel’s Brigades and you will find the link.

      Cheers

France fought beside the Americans and Brits for the duration of the war. I can’t see them siding with the Soviets; at least not right away (perhaps the USSR eventually wins massive swaths of Europe, forcing the French, Romanians, and Polish to fight for them). If war broke out I don’t think the UK would stay as an intermediary for very long. Once France fell to the Soviets they’d see the Red Army as a threat.

The Free West: British, Australians, Canadians, Americans, Free French (DeGaulle quotes as sighing, “Here we so again!”)

The Red Army: Soviets, French, Polish, Romanians, Conscripted Germans/Looted German tanks

One of my favorite video games has alot to do with this. Freedom Fighters assumes that the Soviets actually dropped the first atomic bomb, on Berlin. Thus began the assimilation of all of Europe. Eventually the war reaches American shores.

Whoa that’s more advanced than I was thinking, but thanks anyways.  Are there any other one dimensional hex markers that fit A&A besides the Memoir '44 ones?

      @Spectre_14:

I must differ with you on the matter of the Te-Ke. Yes, it is a bad unit, but a very cheap one. They’re great for harassing, moving around quickly, and in general making a nuisance of its self. On all other points though I applaud you, superb tactics. If you have any other japanese tactics or ideas feel free to PM me. By the way, I’m curious if you know the actual stats of the Chi-Ro and Armored  Car, or if your speculating. If so, do tell.

I’m afraid I disagree on the effectiveness on the Te-Ke.  For a mere two points more the Ha-Go is far more effective at harrasing the enemy.

      Chi-Ro (1939, Rare)
      Vehicle - tank
      Cost 7
      Speed 3
      Defence 2/2
      vs INF 7/7/6
      vs Veh 5/4/3
      Trench Crossing
      Weak Suspension

      Type-87 Armoured Car (1939, Uncommon)
      Vehicle - Armoured Car
      Cost 8
      Speed 3
      Defence 2/2
      vs Inf 7/6/6
      vs Veh 2/-/-
      High Gear 3
      Thin Wheels
      Strike & Fade 1

I don’t think either is particularily great, but as I said they do at least give you some options.  Wouldn’t use either in a tournement army.  However the Zero I could see using 2-3 of.

Patch - I am a big fan of CoD.  I thought the first was brilliant, and the second was quite solid.  However, check out Red Orchestra if you haven’t yet.  It’s a new take on WW2 FPS, and it’s done well.

      ?

I was thinking something similar to what you guys are saying.  Me and my friend were talking about interesting units that can possilbly make the game a twist.  I mentioned the idea of a “Propaganda Truck”, in which we said that if enemys are in a certain radius of it….you have to roll for it to either have a positive or negative effect.  We really didnt discuss what a positive or a negative effect would be…however a good idea would probaly be a +1 on attack die for a positive effect and -1 on attack die for a negative effect.  We also said that it could help your own units as well.  Seems like a good idea to me, although I dont think theyll actually make something like that.
