If a transport (with 2 inf or 1 arm) withdraws from a naval attack … is it allowed to uload the unit(s) if the SZ it retreats to has a friendly territory to land on?
Thanks!

Sounds fine … but it can’t happen if playing RR.
Also, if your sub doesn’t take out the German sub – both the transport and tank die … unless withrawn.
Yes it’s nice to have extra Allied forces in Africa, but it’s just not worth the risk to me!
Just my opinion.
… strategic bombing is just like combat except that the bombers attack the factory–i.e., and defending pieces in the zone (like fighters) get to roll a defensive roll after the attack. Is this the way it should be played?
If not, what happens if bombers attack the factory at the same time other units attack forces in the factory zone? Is the strategic bombing still a completely independent attack?
Strategic bombing is an independent attack. You should always conduct SBR 1st before any other attacks. Only the aa gun (if there is one) is allowed to fire (once at each bomber) … no other defensive units are involved (land, navy or air).
In the case where there is a SBR to a factory and there are also other units attacking the same territory:
Again, complete the SBR first (as a seperate attack) – then, let the land battle commence as usual. If there are fighters and/or other bombers involved in the land battle (after the SBR) … then, the aa gun gets to shoot at each plane as well.
NOTE: No bomber can be used in BOTH a SBR and attack on the territory itself in the SAME round.
Hope this helps!
Yep … try playing against other players (Host or Join a game).
There are lots of bugs in Iron Blitz (unfortunately). I don’t know of any way to move muliple units at the same time … I hate having to load, then move, then unload transports (when you’re trying to use 20+ to attack). SUCKS! I’m not sure why the battleships amphibous assault doesn’t work all the time either. There are several more bugs to this game. I suggest saving often and try loading it back up if something weird happens. I also have a problem landing my planes places and placing new units at ICs.
All you need to do is a fly-over, pay 3 and it is yours. No need to occupy it.
Kobu is right. If you fly over a neutral territory – you violated neutrality and must pay 3 ipcs.
“If you are the FIRST player to move land units into or fly air units over a neutral territory, you automatically capture it with no battle … when you enter the neutral territory with land units, they must all stop there and end their move there. Tanks cannot “blitz” through a neutral territory; when you fly air units over a neutral territory, they do not stop there, but it is still considered violating neutrality!”
I don’t mind buying a slave-made product …. it’s not like I research everything that I buy. Even if I knew something was slave-made … my decision on whether or not to buy it would not be influenced by this criteria. My main criteria would be the quality and price of the good. I’m American (I didn’t say white – although I am), but that doesn’t mean that I buy only American goods … screw that! I buy the cheapest stuff that I can find (as long as it’s quality is up to standards) … where it comes from, I really don’t care.
It’s like this:
If I had an option of buying a Mercedes for say $40,000 from a dealership or buying the same Mercedes from a “slave-made” dealership for $30,000 … guess which one I’m buying?
I’ll even get me a license plate that reads “SLAVMADE”.
Below is an EXCELLENT reference table for the different scales and sizes of miniatures … it includes both ratios (i.e. 1/300 or 1:300) and heights (i.e. 5.4mm).
http://www.theminiaturespage.com/ref/scales.html
A&A Scales (size listed first is best):
Ships - 1/3000 (.54mm) or 1/2400 (.67mm)
Armour - 1/300 (5.4mm) or 1/285 (5.6mm)
Aircraft - 1/432 (3.7mm) or 1/300 (5.4mm)
Infantry - 1/76 (21.2mm) or 1/72 (22.4mm)

I guess I could see RUS having a navy in certain RARE instances.
Like the following:
US is taken out by JAP and GER is taken out by RUS … thus, leaving UK & RUS vs. JAP. This would be an interesting situation … especially if the JAPs had sufficient control of some or most of Asia and/or perhaps a little bit of Africa.
IPC Chart something like the following:
JAP - 70
UK - 32
RUS - 45
Could happen … I guess – anything’s possible.
I think this a good idea … but, the US should have to pay for the infantry unit … thus, further representing the US’s lend-lease support of China. Perhaps let them purchase 1 unit for each of the 2 Chinese territories (if they are still under Allied control). By US 2 (more than likely), at least China will be taken by the JAPs (if not both China and Sinkiang). So, this really wouldn’t effect the game to much … just make Japan concentrate on the US Asian-territories early in the game and perhaps take a littl bit of pressure off of RUS or UK in India.
Conquest of the Empire is a great game…
Just wondering when and if Avatars are going to be available for use?
Check out these links – they may help (may not):

I think FASA probably makes the best Star Trek Miniatures … here is a link to purchase them:
http://users.accesscomm.ca/lmec/fgg_fast.htm
However, there are no pictures shown – but, to see some examples of FASA miniatures check out this link:

May want to try running a search on the net for FASA Star Trek miniatures and perhaps somewhere has both the pics and prices.
Good luck!
I was wondering what everyone’s thoughts were on the best place to put an IC (i.e. most effective/beneficial). Please include the following:
Seems to me that if all the Allies were restricted … then, Asia would be almost given to Japan. All Japan would have to do is take India on turn 1 and then China on turn 2 … thus, UK would be eliminated from Asia and the US would be powerless as well. Then, it’s just a matter of pushing back Russia. The entire UK fleet would be demolished (probably the Russia fleet – all 2 of them), and Africa would be over ran by the Germans. The Allies would have a lot of work cut out for them and that’s not even counting any added units (via bidding).
Have you ever tried this out? … how does it play out? Am I completely wrong?
