      South America is fine now. It wasn’t really involved in WWII… Still, I would like Portugal to be added, you add the Azores (colony of Portugal, but not the Homeland) while I know it is only neutral… and add the name of Corsica.

      On victory cities I have some more suggestions;

      Batavia on Java. (East Indies where important to Japan!!)

      Guadalcanal on the Solomon Islands (not really a city, but the most known area and historical important)

      Madrid (Spain), Istanbul (Turkey), Stockholm (Sweden)

      Tobruk (see it on the map, but not in your list)

      Cape Town (South Africa)

      Basra (Iraq)

      Kiev (Ukraine)

      Ploesti or Bucharest (Roumania) Very important to Germany

      Rangoon (Burma) Important to the Burma Road

      Gibraltar (Was very important to the Allies for entrance to the med. and to Italy)

      Valletta (Malta) Most bombed place of WWII

      Yes, I also think we did a fine job on these NA’s. Cards sounds the best, but sheet and numbers/ chips will do fine…

      Many have added Cruisers (CA) in there games, and I have high hopes that the Next A&A game (if Naval units included) will have this piece standard.

      Most set the piece though on cost 15 attack at 3 and defend at 3 and take two hits. The DD then going down to cost 10 at 2/2. We have this also in AARHE.

      In your idea, the problem of not purchasing any DD is one, but at these values  no one is ever going to purchase BB again… IMO. You should also drop that one in price… Maybe you have, i don’t know…

      Yes, I think that’s fine.

      For MECH also Replace an INF for a MECH

      But i would like the PARA’s to be added. So we  have CA and PARA added, and FB and MECH replacing units.

      If you add France you don’t have the problem of Vichy anymore on your map. People can decide themselves if they want to play 1939,1941 or 1942… But you get the problem for coloring the other invaded countries like Poland, Greece etc… You could let them have the current colors, or neutral color or add them to either France or the UK. Let’s say, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Greece, Crete and Yugoslavia to the UK, and Poland, East Poland and the Baltic States to France… But this is maybe to much nonsense… Just thinking out lout here…

      If you go for France, than add Paris. and looking at the map then these should be colored into French Blue;

      Western France
      Vichy France
      Corsica
      Morocco
      Algeria
      Northern Algeria
      Tunisia
      West Africa
      French West Africa
      Niger
      French Equatorial Africa
      Cameroon
      Syria (could also be Levant states)

      India CA is moved to Greenland, so still running for the Japs.

      Italy had a big fleet, and UK gets a CA at Egypt with the DD. So the balance in the Med stays even…

      Yes, Italy had  several Airborne (Folglore) divisions who had been prepared for the invasion of Malta…

      Japan also receives it’s CA and FB in the pacific, so i don’t see that the Western US CA will be a problem…

      Well, I was not thinking about replacing anything with the CA’s… For MECH another story, those could replace existing infantry. But I hope that CA’s could be placed extra for more naval power…

      And maybe place the Japan CA with that lonely Kwantung AP instead of with the East Indies fleet.

      Germany: 1CA (Baltic), 2FB(1 Western Europe, 1 Ukraine), 2MECH( 1 Western Europe, 1 West Russia), 1 PARA(Germany)

      Italy: 1CA (Italian coast), 1PARA (Italy)

      UK: 2 CA (Indian Fleet, and Egypt), 1 FB (Egypt)

      US: 1 CA (West coast) 1 MECH (Eastern US) 1 PARA (Eastern US)

      USSR: 2 MECH (Russia) , 1FB(Caucasus) , 1PARA(Russia)

      I Was thinking of something like this…

      I know it was decided before to not change the setup, and that is fine. But I would like to come up with extra setup’s for optional units, so that players will faster start using them. So that we can add MECH, PARA and CA’s… Could we agree to this?

      Some suggestions;

      Change the colour of Algeria, Niger, French West Africa, West Africa and Madagascar into either British (free French) or Vichy Neutral.

      Divide Morocco into three spaces. Small part of the top into Spanish Morocco and the lower half into Rio the Oro. Make them both Spanish Neutral controlled.

      Add Portugal

      Gilbert Islands should be British not American I think.

      Make Mexico and Peru American or make Brazil also Neutral. All three  declared war in 1942, and Brazil was by far the latest of the three.

      Give Sumatra more IP value, the Dutch East Indies made up for over 75% of Japans oil reserves so these territories deserve some more value.

      About the Regia Marina NA, I checked the downloadable rulebook. Here on the forum you indeed posted correctly.

      18. SBR Limitations, Well this is not mine NA, I took it from Harris’s site (Templeton??) I just added the dice text… But i just googled, and found this;

      The precision targets were not successful, partly due to the lack of fighter cover and partly due to the construction of Japanese factories, refineries and military institutions. Unlike Germany, which required tons of high explosive for each attack, the high explosive from high altitude did not have the same effect on the paper and wood structures predominant in Japan. at; http://worldwar2database.com/html/japanbom.htm

      But the US quickly went over to “firebombing” instead, causing huge damage…  So maybe dump this NA also

      P-51 Mustang, is indeed maybe to much of a struggle to fit into the game. Change to whole combat system for a NA…

      All of Libya is now under Italian control.  Historically Italy lost Libya by now but the Germans had taken it back, minus Tobruk.  To support Italy as a viable player nation I left in the hands of the Italians.

      Under German Command it was taken back… Still over 75% of the force used were Italian.

      For Japan;

      17. Parallel Planning
      During the later half of WWII, the IGHQ amazingly arrived at the same conclusions of American planners, correctly predicting the targets of the Philippines, Iwo Jima, Okinawa and the planned invasion beaches on Japan
      On any Orange territory attacked by the US Player, Japan gets to place 1 free infantry.

      18. Strategic Bombing Limitations
      Since much of Japanese industry were small shops and factories, destroying them was only possible due to overwhelming air power.
      US requires 2 Bombers to conduct Strategic Bombing. They roll only one dice however! (two heavy bombers will roll 2 dice)

      For Germany;

      17. Tiger Tank
      The Tigers were originally designed to be offensive weapons but by the time they came into action, the military situation had changed dramatically, so other than a few times, their main use was defensively as tank killers. Some Tiger units exceded the 10:1 kill ratio!!
      During each battle you may assign one tank as a Tiger Tank. The Tiger has 4/4 combat values, and will fire preemptive in defence, and may picks its target ( only ground units)

      I posted this one on Harris, I like it! But can it be put in AARHE??

      18. Amerkia Bomber
      The Amerika Bomber project was an initiative of the Reichsluftfahrtministerium, the Nazi Germany Air Ministry, to obtain a long-range bomber aircraft for the Luftwaffe that would be capable of striking the continental United States from Germany. The Me 264 Amerika (America) was one of the selected aircraft designs to get the job done. Bombing NY city.
      If germany gets both LRA and heavy bombers they can build special bombers (ME 264) that can move to East USA and back to germany ( 10 spaces total)
      This bomber cannot be intercepted nor can ID defense rolls apply. The attacking/defensive values are 5/2 and roll 2 dice on SBR,costing 15 IPC. You have to place a token underneath a Heavy Bomber.

      This is IL’s idea that i tried to make an NA off. Not happy yet about it… Thoughts?

      Maybe replace the U.S. nb. 5 Great Wall NA with;

      5. P-51 Mustang
      The Mustang was a masterpiece of US aircraft engineering. With its Rolls-Royce Merlin engine it could protect bomber squadrons all the way to the target and back. The P-51 flew most of its wartime missions as a bomber escort in raids over Germany, helping ensure Allied air superiority from early 1944.
      Your fighter’s move increases from 4 to 6 on SBR only.

      This is why you can now move a German infantry to africa… because kesselring was cleaver enough to keep the supply lines open by attacking the Brits in Malta and his organization of logistics to help and support rommel.

      Yes, that is right. He and Mussoline also had the idea to invade Malta, but Rommel later convinced Il Duce (who could overrule Kesselring) that all efforts should be put in taking Cairo.(after he noticed he was making fast progress in Africa) This is one of Rommels biggest mistakes during the War… (this while when he arrived in Tripoli, he told that without the controll of the airspace over the supply lines, the axis can’t win in Africa…)
