@crockett36 teaching 1940 global is going well. The game club is only about an hour long and so we take pictures and baggie up all the pieces from the board at the end of each session. The club meets once a week but we are only doing a&a every other week. So now we are three weeks in to the game and next session will start with germanys 3rd turn. The kids have different levels of general game experience and 2 of them have actually played the original from the 80s. So im weighting my advice to them to help balance. Also i did not go through a big info dump at the begining but rather just jumped right in and just sorta walked each of them through their turns. Some kids are picking it up faster than others allowing me spend a little less time walking some through their turns and instead helping those other nail down the basics of the mechanics. I think we may finish this game come January or February. By then, all the kiddos will know how to play, maybe not well but just how.

Also, a couple of the kids have toldme that they already have asked for axis and allie for christmas

Hey folks, I got back into axis and allies at gencon. While back at home I dug up an incomplete project for an 8 player, no teams map. I’m not done labeling all the spots on the map but here’s the pics so far. Also, I’m not an artist it’s not pretty but let me know what y’all think.

I have labor day off and wanna play a face to face game. I have global 1940 and could host or travel with in the Omaha metro

Today i will be teaching some jr high kids how to play at the board game club at the school where i work. Any tips would be useful

@redrum making this into a playable triple a map is a goal of mine, but i have only just mow started to look into that process. I also want to get it printed on a roll up mat so i can take it to orgins and gencon in 2020. Also, i will need more of the italian, anzac, and french models. I have plenty of the other nation’s troup from multiple different versions of axis and allies.

I am in omaha, and from omaha, and have plenty of table room at home for a game, and am willing to play else where too

What is the process for making new maps on triple a. I have this hand drawn map for 8 players and no teams that i thing would be great fun!

I’ve done a little play testing and need to redraw parts of the map for balance, mostly in the north east to help quebec city but also in the south west to help out chicago. I would be interested in any input y’all might have. Also, what progams would you folks suggest i use to make a digital version?
