      really important is to use a base color with spray - this avoids the ink from being removed with your nails for example later when playing with the painted units.

      Dissolve more the ink on water to have a smoother surface after painting.

      only use 3 colors to tanks.

      with planes and ships you only need to use 1 color and one shadow, using a second color only for details (ex:the front of zero is black and the rest of the plane is dark green or white)

      camouflage in tanks was made depending the theater: jungle many diferent greens together, desert just a kind of yellow

      camouflage on ships was made using one single color (for example a kind of blue/green for usa ships

      camouflage on planes was made in 2 dimensions: below the plane a color of the sky - light grey more frequently (someone looking to the flying plane from ground would see the sky and the below part of the plane). The other dimension is above the plane - someone on another plane flying over that plane sees the above part the plane and the ground - for example the upper part of the usa dauntless was painted blue so that someone looking down would see the blue from the plane and the blue water of pacific ocean.

      Our Master LH has made a very interesting dissertation about time.

      Something that stands out frm what he said: each round may represent 3,4 months.

      This leads to a really interesting hipotesis: each round=3month, each season(winter…)=3month

      So each round would represent winter»spring»summer»autumn»…

      This is interesting for SU territories:

      summer: all clear
      autumn: lots of mud - very difficult movement (german tanks move 1 space, infantry and artillery roll a die and only move rolling 1,2 or 3)
      winter: snow - germans die of cold and starvation (roll a die for each german unit - on each 1 one hit)
      spring: lots of mud - very difficult to move

      What a mess with concepts! Blocking is good but is independent to fire at 2 against unescorted transports.
      wake up to reality.

      In the poll i have on going the question is if subs can attack on 1 or 2 the unscorted transports that move to or through the sea zone the sub is as described in Europe rules, or if they lose this ability like Alpha does.
      blocking or not has nothing to do with this.

      The 2 rules you put as exclusive can be mutual, in other words you can use both.

      In the poll i have going on after clarifying really well what the poll was about the result is 24 votes to maintain sneack attack and 3 votes to remove sneack attack and the results before the clarification where 14 votes to maintain and 2 to abbolish so giving the actual total of 38 votes to maintain and 5 to abbolish sneack attack against unescorted transports.

      And it is possible to have sneack attack rule in simultaneous with block rule:

      example: usa unescorted transport in the middle of atlantic moves through a zone with a german sub and this sub sneack attacks the transport. In the same round of play another unescorted usa transport is blocked to participate in an amphibious assault  in mediterrain by the presence of an italian sub.

      Alpha is changing so quick that if you start a game using Alpha, at the middle of that game Alpha has already changed.

      To play using Alpha you need to be connected to www to change the rules during the course of the game. :?

      Don´t forget to include subs sneack attack against unescorted transports.

      Don´t forget to include in victory conditions that axis have to control one of their capitals on the other side of the map, not in the same side where they control enough cities.

      Burma road was not to supply artillery to China but raw materials and food.

      In Anniversary Edition China could only buy infantry but somone thought that China was to weak and to resolve that, someone thought - lets allow China to buy Artillery.

      To be Hstorical, China would still recieve 6 ipc if Burma road is open, but could not buy artillery. China would be able to buy 2 infantry for the price of one (the chinese army had lots of imprepared soldiers) and would attack at 1 and defend at 1 instead of 2.

      AA1942 was a finished rulebook. Everything was clear.

      Now the game is evolving with air and naval bases, scramble, sneakattack, kamikase, new rules for neutrals, new canals, new tac bombers, new light infantry, new dog fights…

      This is good, the game is evolving.

      **Lets start thinking about:

      • tech trees specific to each power

      • fuel, amunition, food to supply to troops and warcraft**

      If you want me to be honest i think that you have potencial.

      Some things that could improve your work:

      • Use a base black spray coat from warhammer.
      • put more water on ink so that is not to thick.
      • use decalcs for roundels, don´t paint roundels cause that gives a really low quality look.

      victory conditions where corrected by saying that the axis have to control one capital.

      But that capital should be on the other side of the map!

      well, we don´t have a tech tree in aa games.

      there re so many interesting things to put in a techtree.

      for example, germany invented a magnetic mine to be atracted to ships and sink them. England invented then a degauss of the hull that prevented magnetic mines to be atracted by the ships metal.

      germany invented a torpedo that followed the noise of enemy ships, the allies invented a noise equipment to be pulled by the ship with a cable to cheat the torpedo.

      the USA invented a kind of a balloon that was inside the fuell tanks of figthers and other planes so that the empty space created inside the deposit by the comsumption of fuel was not filled with explosive gases. The consequence was that was much more easy to makea zero explode than a dauntless.

      usa used CO against fires in carriers that combined with O2 produced CO2. without O2 the fire could not continue burning. Japan used water that boiled with the fire and was a big mess.

      After some play testing, we concluded that there should be one change:

      B. victory for the axis if they control 7 of the 8 victory cities on the Pacific board and if axis control Rome and Berlin  on the Europe Board.
