Germany has to still use the tank push along with mech. infantry and tactical bombers. All the bonuses they get with these in tandem should really cramp the Russian’s infantry dead zone mechanic.

Yeah I almost sat here and read it, then I realized who posted it.

RE: Global Team game when it comes out!posted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
Man this is good, looks like we almost have a full game.
@mohare6:I call Japan! No one else has yet right?
Not sure, there is a list that ProudAmerican is keeping track of, take a look at that and see who is left.

RE: Italyposted in Axis & Allies Europe 1940
The problem is that Italy has really only one place to worry about, and that is the Med and Africa. The UK not only has to worry about the Atlantic, South Asia, Africa, the Med., they also have to protect against a German Sealion. Even if Italy loses her fleet in the first turn they will be able to rebuild and eventually take control of the Med.

I’m just kidding, I’m anal retentive about the way the units are placed too.

Sounds like Larry has a light case of OCD, LOL. Man this is awesome, everything sounds so cool. But yeah tell us more about the NOs, from what it sounds like the axis can really close the income gap on the allies with these things.

Why did I just waste my time reading these posts?

RE: India looks great! (no double hump)posted in Axis & Allies Europe 1940
A&A games are still being produced from 21st century maps. Don’t you Americans have anything older?
Well considering how so many elementary schools in the mid 90’s still had globes with the Soviet Union on it, I’m sure we do.
I remember those, I would always ask the teacher, “Why is Russia touching Germany?”

RE: Flying over the Saharaposted in Axis & Allies Europe 1940
Yeah but for the sake of simplicity I think Larry just made it impassable, since it was a dangerous undertaking. This is an area where historical accuracy does not overrule simplicity IMO.

RE: Flying over the Saharaposted in Axis & Allies Europe 1940
And that material came from crashed planes?

RE: Flying over the Saharaposted in Axis & Allies Europe 1940
That makes sense for planes to fly over the Sahara. The Himalayas are another story though.

RE: AAE40 G2-3 Sealion Strategy!!!posted in Axis & Allies Europe 1940
Man I cannot wait to try these gambits out! Too bad I’m gonna be knee deep in homework and studying by the time I get the game (school starts 8/19 for me).

RE: Tweeting first AAE40 right nowposted in Axis & Allies Europe 1940
Glad to hear that Larry is doing something. Hopefully this can be added to the errata list so we can all use that and make the game a balanced one. But I think we also have to remember that Japan also will have 20-something Russian troops on their doorstep in Global, so whatever we do it needs to work in the Pacific variant and also the Global game too.

RE: AAE40 setup ( now verified)posted in Axis & Allies Europe 1940
From the looks of things this game will be very balanced with a slight edge to the Allies.
-
RE: AAE40 G2-3 Sealion Strategy!!!posted in Axis & Allies Europe 1940
Again I’m sure this was play-tested for and if Sealion is a possible move it will most likely severely cripple the Germans from taking France or building a offense to attack Russia.

RE: AAG40 balance Pollposted in Axis & Allies Europe 1940
on side note…my brother has one weird die that I call “Cyclops”. Its an ugly whitish-yellow die with a giant dot for the 1…now i dont want to call him a cheater plus i dont think he would go out of his way to rig a die but this dammed thing rolls 1 after 1 after 1. when he pulls it out we both laugh and then he rolls a dammed 1 and i fume.its really amazing. im sure there is a scientific explanation, like lead painted dots for the 6 ( which is opposite the 1 on the die). edit to use digits instead of spelling numbers
It is probably because the side with the huge 1 is lighter because of less material. More was carved out so the other sides are heavier.

RE: What previews do you want?posted in Axis & Allies Europe 1940
I’ve added the details of the setup in the first preview. I guess people couldn’t read the crystal clear larger photos. I was able to and that is what I used.
I’m not sure what is up, but when I click on the photos to make them larger they stay the same resolution and size. Maybe it’s just me, I don’t know……

RE: Political rulesposted in Axis & Allies Europe 1940
@UN:
The USSR cannot attack a European Axis power for the first three rounds.
Is that a 100% fact?
