I agree that it’s more or less game over now, so just the right time to throw in the towel. Axis had a serious economic advantage though, so believe it was unstoppable anyway.
You did a daring multiple-attacks in China that were actually quite successful and presented Japan with some difficulties. Only problem then was that you also ran out of units, so after the blow I could consolidate.
Losing Calcutta could’ve been postponed, but would mean letting go of Yunnan. Think keeping India active is more important. Same goes of course with Moscow, but it’s harder to counter Germany there.
