@FlyingBadger darn, I was so focused on London that I only saw your posted photo of Dad’s Army and did not notice that you already posted Russia…
Your Chinese infantrymen should drink less rice schnapps ;-)

@flyingbadger hmm, the presence of the British Navy seems to make Sea Lion impossible - for now. Let’s see what I come up with. I won’t be able to make this German turn on the side and need to wait until the imperialist and communist enemies are sleeping.
What I need now, is a

@FlyingBadger same editing procedure as every turn :face_with_rolling_eyes: Two non-combat movements to go, please

@crockett36 it really caught me by surprise when you declared war on the neutrals. But I see my chances increasing again. Why have you not built the US factory in Spain one round earlier?
@flyingbadger please do a full scramble. And it is a good idea to decide on the losses round by round. I will occasionally look at the screen, tonight. Good luck… not! ;-)
@flyingbadger thank you, Dave! It was a fun game! In my fourth attempt, I finally managed to win :-)
I think it was two blunders which decided the game: The first one was to offer the UK on a silver tablet. At the beginning of the match, I intended to go for Sea Lion, but you well defended - as you described below. When I brought back those transports from Novgorod to Germany, the plan was actually to get reinforcements for Russia using a short cut with the transports. I didn’t have a second attempt for Sea Lion in my mind - and apparently neither did you.
The second blunder was to leave the US fleet unprotected. Lucky me, the “blocking” sub could just be ignored by the Japanese.
Had you kept the UK and the US fleet, it would have been a much longer game, and I can’t tell who wold have won.
I am looking forward to our next game! As it is the end of the year, we might go for another BM-match outside of the league, if you like. Or we go for the tutor PtV game, in December :-)
Good luck with your other games!
@barnee thank you, but this is indeed not applicable here, as the Axis are in control of their capitals. It is true that these messages from AAA should be verified.
@giallo I will be in the office, on Tuesday, and also need to think about how to handle a Russian wall backed by 54 IPCs. Please expect my German turn tomorrow in the later evening.
@Giallo I am leaving for work late, today, so I could still make my move for Germany.
Have a good day!
@giallo no problem - I can edit it when I make my turn for Germany in the afternoon
@Giallo I edited a forgotten combat move without battle (Slovakia Hungary) and as well the British inf in Australia
@giallo thank you, Giallo! As I mentioned at the beginning, I am not a fan of Sea Lion. As expected and feared, Russia grew into a monster. It was tough to push the red army back and at the same time having an eye on the US Navy in the Pacific.
Good luck with your other games! If you like, we can play again at the beginning of January.
@ksmckay only now, after 10 months, I noticed that you also jumped in and gave me newbee precious comments… Greatly appreciated - thank you very much:+1: ! At the time, I was under the impression that all comments to my game came from Trulpen.
After one year at axis&allies.org, I love the community and find it awesome that strong players play weaker and newer players and give precious advice to improve the gameplay.
Martin (X) - Elche (L+30) OOB
Elche wins. Japan should avoid undertaking expeditions to Australia in an early phase of the game. See you all later - I am in my sub heading towards Argentina…

I have chosen a Japanese fighter as casualty in the last round. I somehow expected the concerted effort of the US and the UK to be a bit more successful.
Good luck to both of you - it will be an epic battle! :-)
Good luck to both of you!
@trulpen of course we are honest. Otherwise it would be no fun. But anyway - here are the emails I received - I forwarded them to you.

@trulpen Russians and Germans standing hand in hand in Eastern Europe, celebrating Christmas together :-)
