@special:
By the way, doesn’t Japan taking Britisch Columbia bring USA in the war in turn2?
It’s in the Pacific Rules.
If Japan takes control of an “american territory” (not only US) the US are imediately at war with Japan.

Q1: A battleship enters a seazone with a hostile submarine. The sub submerges.
Following the rules, the sub emerges after the combat (that doesn’t take place)
Who controlls the seazone after the battleship owners turn?
Is the sub able to raid the convoy zone in that seazone, or is it impossible, cause the battleship owner “won” the battle and controls the sea zone?
Q2: Does the sub emerges before the collect income phase of the battleship owner and is it able to raid the sea-zone of the battleship-owner?
Q3: A submarine enters a seazone with a hostile submarine. Both sub submerges before any round of combat.
Are both submarines are able to make convoy raids? (For example a UK-sub and a Jap-sub in SZ 37)
You want to give the Russians more money for being not at war with the Japanese?
Don’t know, what is your production for Russia, but I buy tanks, artillery and infantry, maybe a plane in R1.
…and the road to Moskau is very long.
It’s hard enough for germany to figth the UK back in the nort sea and the mediterrane sea, without spending too much money. One of the biggest german problems is, to get air support to the eastern front.
How do you want to outnumber Russia with an IPC income of 40?
Russia should not be allowed to attack anyone till R4.
First I preferred a russian/japanese non-aggression-pact.
But you can’t do this to your european Axis comrades. 37 IPCs income is too much.
Reduce the russian income from the very first game turn.
Force Russia to send units to the Far East and China.
…by the way, sending tanks, artillery and infantery to the Far East will bring you in a better position versus american amphibious operations.
Look for buddys.
I’ve the luck to play with friends/people form my labour.
To play A&A by yourself is only good to test strategies.
You have to change the order of play.
For defense the allied planes get up in the air.
If the sub cripples the carrier, the planes could fly 1 space to find a save landing place.
Never heard of a damaged carrier that has cargo planes on board.
Maybe, if you attack with a loaded carrier??? :? :? :?
Who cares?
Never used the casualty strip.
As for what SZ I mean when you build out of Berlin I am talking about SZ 114. The transports can easily still get to London and are completely safe from attack until the SU enters the war which shouldn’t be happening if you decide to go after London.
We are talking about UK-strategies and possibilities to knock out german transports.
Does not matter if the transports go for Russia or UK.
But in SZ 114 the transports aren’t a danger for UK, but save from UK air strikes, that’s right.
“off Berlin” is out of range for Sea Lion.
So I’am right to catch less/non escorted TRN in SZ 113 with a CV new build.
“off Berlin” :?
Which Sea Zone do you mean?
I try to get the control of North Sea/North Atlantic as soon as possible.
_(You don’t need bombers to reach less/non escorted German transport builds in SZ 113
Buy a CV in SZ 110 and send the figthers.
Sunk 3 german transports last game.)_
UK 1:
First I send the DD, TRN from new Brunswick to UK and unload on UK. (Hoping to kill a german sub on the defense.9
Attack the Italian fleet and meet the french ships mit the CV.
Taking Persia with the Egypt-Trn + Art to get the additional infs.
Don’t like minor in Egypt.
Depends on wether I need the CV- build in SZ 110.
Produce a Trn at South-Africa + Inf + Art, DD in Canada and Inf + Art in UK.
UK2: Ship builds in UK, Ground forces in South Africa.
Try to sink the last italian ships in the med. Sea.
Slow down the italian ground-forces in North Africa.
Preparing for a combined amphibious assault with US forces vs. Normandy in UK 4.
Cool video!
That is the point CLYDE!
Nobody need this game to be perfectly balanced!
We are palying Axis vs. Allies, not Risk, Dust or Attack!
This game has an historical background and Larry took care of it.
I like to play the axis underdog, who terrors the world with “Blitzkrieg” and finnaly surrenders unconditional to the economic powers of the Allies and Russia.
…and I like to kick those axis hordes back to where they come from, too, hoping that the russians hold the line.
This is the main stream of this games.
Yeah, you’re totally right!
Can’t make 10 - 15 games a month.
Maybe 2, max. 3.
It’s everytime a new challange with different ways to play. Each of our A&A comrades has his special way to play the axis or allied powers, to handle groundforces, ships and planes.
To sit down with friends, drinking a few beers, to draw the sides an play 5 - 6 hours this great game, that’s it.
…not to make as much games as possible to find this “one - game - breaking - bad - designed - setup error”. :-P
Best game ever Larry.
Hope you design a 1941 and 1942 setup.
Germany: kill France and as much UK-ships as possible
Russia: perpare for invasion, buy 2 tanks 2 art
Japan: attack western allies J3, kill China, attack Russia J1
UK: Kill italian fleet, prepare for D-Day and japanese attack in the pacific
ANZAC: build 2 inf + 1 art, try to reach Dutch New Guinea
Italy: take Bulgaria, support Germany, close the suez channel
USA: prepare to support the western Allies (Pacific/North/Africa), needs CV, planes, transports, etc…
China: slow down the japanese troops
