    • RE: CSI shipping

      @tytyboogie:

      @malfnuction:

      game should have shipped to arrive on release date or a day thereafter.

      CSI?  never again.Â

      i thought pre-ordering was a sort of way to get a minor privilege…you know get the game asap?!

      instead still dont have the game and no tracking number was issued. i had to use USPS but that is no excuse for not getting the game out a little earlier

      so where are u located?im 2 hours from them in florida and no game either using usps…i get items in 2 or 3 days with standard usps service from all over the US reguraly which is why I believe    they have given us the screw imo…after contacting all 3 locations just to even come drive to buy another copy they were all out and corey the shipping manager says they cant reship…id have to pay   again and then return the original copy  if it ever shows…& if it doesnt im outta luck apparently

      Im in california.

    • RE: Preview 2: The Russian Revolution

      @ossel:

      While we’re on the subject, I’d like to say that the idea that Russia went from an Imperial government to a Communist state overnight is a very Western (if not American) idea, and grossly oversimplifies the actual events.

      I’ll be working on house rules that correctly model the Provisional Government, the Bolshevik uprising, and the Civil War in Western Russia.

    • RE: Unit Sculpt Variety

      @Flashman:

      As a rough guide, what scale of fighter plane would be perfect for the game, given that those on the setup photo are clearly too small.

      Something along the lines of fighters from WWII A&A, but maybe a scale range up as these planes were pretty small.

      Anyone know of any available? In plastic please.

      my guess would be 1:350 or 87 mm for the scale.

    • RE: Impressions after 2 plays….

      I saw it coming…the game is “unbalanced”  :roll:

      There will never have balance is a game like this. It is impossible. The fact is there are three countries vs two…talk about imbalance, its there from the get go.

      If you want to just keep doing the same strat for every A&A game that comes out, well, dont buy new games with different map set-ups. Play the Original and stick to the super,ultra-boring UK1-Aircraft-Carrier-US/Europe Shuck, Jap-Factory-in Manchuria-JTDTM-“Infantry Push Mechanic”…zzzzzzz

      I have been playing since the mid-80’s and I have tried dozens of different strategies, some bad, some terrible,some that went exceedingly well. If you just do the same thing over and over and over you are missing the real joy of this game.

      Guess what?  This isnt a real war. Its a board game. If you lose, you can play a different strat next time.

      Sometimes losing is just as fun as winning. If you take chances, even when the odds are against you, thats what keeps the game fresh. Its about having fun, not saving the world.

      The Japanese fleet off East Indies looks too tempting… but only has 64% odds
