    • A&A 1914 Submarines

In the first game i played with my brother I just assumed that submarines have first strike. I actually
was rather surprised when I read that they don´t.
Also, I think that USW is rather weak.

Maybe using the damage rules from global 1940 and give the subs first strike could help the central powers
      a bit in their struggle.

    • RE: Paratroopers-A new approach

Yeah, I know that there are air transport units, but I don’t want to use them because:
-I don’t want to add further pieces.
-They are also out of scale.

Also, I would have liked some opinions on my idea. Other paratrooper rules, the air transports
in particular, are all very well discussed in these forums.

Exactly. Sneak attack in the first round of combat.

Hmm…A bomber has the same cost as three artillery, and you lose one pip.
However, you may be right. Big inf and bomber stacks would be pretty difficult to deal with.
Maybe say, that the casualties are only removed before returning fire when they role @1.
Still a motivation to do it, and combining with artillery is not that evil.

    • Paratroopers-A new approach

I have always thought that the most proposed paratrooper rules are out of the scale.
If you assume that 1 infantry unit on the board is 1 corps consisting of 40,000-80,000 soldiers, 2 airborne infantry, or even only one, dwarfs the largest air operations ever easily.

My idea: One bomber staring from an operational airbase boosts up two 3 attacking infantry by one: they fire in the open fire step in the first round of combat and the bonus stacks with that from artillery.

      What do you think?

    • RE: Oztea's global41 setup pictures

      Hello guys!
First, after 2 years of reading in this forum, finally the registration worked. Hello to everyone!

@topic: I really appreciate this idea of a 1941 setup, for many people whom i have played with complained ( especially russia and usa) about no action in the first hours ( we tend to start war rather late).
So go on, thank you for your effort, oztea.
To the setup: Its cool that all the different pieces are common on the board ( +actually,i ran our of german and russian mech. inf.). Further , i agree that the us has really a good deal of land units. But i dont think its too much. As oztea pointed out, a dedicated german sub programm and a normandy(maybe not setup-wise is also worth considering) airbase can really throw over a early massive us transport drop.
