@majikforce gg! The dice really didn’t give you much of a chance, and I can appreciate how frustrating that is.

Apart from the dice, I thought there were two key mistakes made. The first was your attack on the Soviets in China in round 2. You were almost certain to win, but it was almost certainly also going to be too heavy cost to Japanese air. And that gave the US too much room to operate in the pacific. The other was that you moved too much german air east to soon. You may have needed to do so earlier to guarantee your hold on Bryansk, but leaving them gave the allies more room to maneuver and allowed me to secure Normandy sooner.

Can certainly play a rematch down the road.

I managed to keep Japan small, but that wasn’t enough. Now, Germany will turn into an unstoppable monster. You played very well a Japan with only a few IPCs - annoying Russia, the US, ANZAC and the UK at the same time :grin: !

I should resist the temptation to make aggressive purchases with Russia, and I should play more decisive: If I decide (at all) to send a few units towards China to help, I should do it in round one or never, of course it will always remain being a very risky play.

Towards Germany and Italy, I didn’t really have a plan with the UK and the US. Maybe the UK should in general start in turn 2 to prepare for Germany going south of Caucasus. No matter if Moscow will fall or not, the Germans will stand in front of Persia sooner rather than later.

Good luck in the playoffs and in your next games! Maybe you want to test my skills with the Axis, in a few weeks.

GG! I agree you sent too many Russian assets to attack Japan. You did do a good job of keeping Japan in check but at the cost of losing Moscow too easily for Germany. When Moscow is about to fall I think it is much more effective to vacate the land with your stack and march around just being a pest for as long as a possible. It makes it much more difficult for Germany to account for than just eradicating Russian troops.

I had it at over 90% with carriers as first casualties or I wouldn’t have even gone for it but yeah dice definitely went in my favor this game. Thanks for game I learned a lot from you …excellent player!

@majikforce your unit value is 200 more than allies and growing each round so war of attrition is lost. Also, germany can take and hold uk at will now. Made some adjustments to strat based on this game. Let’s rematch soon.

GG. You are definitely getting better. Your Pacific play stabilized a little bit. It was getting tougher and tougher for Japan. You had good defense in Moscow but without Atlantic pressure Germany was gonna have Moscow. Can’t let Italy roam free. Keep playing though! You’ll progress I promise.

You played the Italians very well, I failed to recognize that you’d keep fighting for the med, and you tied up many more British recourses to than you had spent on that.

I think that you’d have won quicker if from round 10, with the Japanese, you had spent absolutely everything on navy. That army that you built up in India and marched through the middle east didn’t really serve much of a purpose

Good Game. It was fun. Yes Japan was a monster but I had no avenue to win in the Pacific. It was an arms race to tie up US income over there and not in the Atlantic. I sent the Japanese army into Russia to protect the Victory cities from your giant Russian stack. I didn’t have enough German troops to pursue Egypt and protect the Moscow take back. As soon as you starting breaking up the stack to march on Japan I had a sigh of relief and knew I could take Egypt in a matter of turns. A grueling one but I love seeing the huge armies and navies on the board!

I think that taking multiple game-winning risks with the allies as long as you’re ahead can really pay off.

Well, I think that 95% KJF is quite powerful, as long as the US can effectively get a landing in europe for cheap. I’d be interested to see what a KGF does.
