      Yes, but to clarify - you said If I scramble, and he does not designate any german planes. He has to declare all combat movement before you declare scrambling - so he has should have already declared planes (or not) for his attack in a SZ, and you decide then whether or not to scramble.

      Proper? No. played left wing in my school days, and its the only sport I enjoy watching, when I have time. Was a leeds fan when I took more time to follow. Result of a exchange program when I was in middle school - spent a month in Harogate.

      BTW - this time difference really works to my advantage - great excuse to take breaks while painting the shed. :wink:

      Thank you! Been thinking about that, and I’ll take up on your offer as the axis Would like to see this one through first while the result isnt in doubt, there is more for me to learn, and russia is just getting started. I really want to see how that plays out.

      Fancy a game by forum?
      Played a lot of classic, but only in my first real game of global40. but been lurking a bit, so i have a good understanding of the rules. So making a mistake with me wont be as catastrophic as against, say @wizmark . He’s about to make the allies eat marinara covered schnitzel with chop sticks.
      You might also be interested some tutorials on you tube by young grasshopper and general hand grenade - they both cover a lot, with some good visuals to help.

      My goal was to make it to Round 8. Looking very yellow and brown right now. I guess it’s good I really like both sushi and lamb picatta.
      The transport as part of my bid was a waste of $$ I see now. Not very useful after turn 1, not in the Indian ocean anyways. 7 could have been spent much better in a lot of places. Those 2 inf from SA can wait a turn or two to get in the action.
      The only thing I can see the US doing since the beginning in the pacific is keeping the IJN partially occupied - and just the ships, not the air force. Currently, my postioning allows you to concentrate your airforce right where you want it and- near india, while still covering your navy, making any move I make near suicidal. Trying to seriously hold calcutta doesn’t seem to make any sense.

      Italy is huge. The Vichy trigger is something I had limited understanding about - now that I see it, I really got to go and read some other games more throughly.

      Trying not to beat myself too much - first game. I am very much enjoying it. Thank you for playing such a Noob.
