I have got to improve my Germany, and especially my Italy play. I feel like my Japan is pretty good. Needs some tightening, but is way better than my European game. My few wins have been either a pacific win, or japan helps hit russia and takes Cairo. J bailing out G all the time is not going to advance me in the league.

Western US is a separate square from sea zone 42. In this case it is 2 moves to get from the land to Midway, in zone 43 no 3 moves. WUS to sz 42, 42 to 43, 43 to midway.

Have you tried deleting the 2.6 that you have and re downloading?I had an issue, not matching up to yours, a different one, the first time I downloaded it to my laptop. I was using a hotspot off my mobile as I didn’t have Wi-Fi at the time, and I think the band width was just poor enough to screw something up at download. When I deleted and redownload when I had a better Internet connection, no problems.

I see your point. Hadn’t thought that far- actually, probably wouldn’t have, just not how i think about things - just was thinking of the fundraising possibility. Saw the word “bracket” and march madness immediately came to mind.
