and this is why we all need to donate what we can (even if it’s $5) to the team at TripleA.    No more lonely nights playing with yourself, you can get on the internet and like chatroulette, find a friend who wants to play with you.

In fact I will say this.  I’m done.  If calvin replies to anything of mine with his typical LH slurping, you can’t possibly be right crapfest, I will not reply again in the same thread.

Furthermore, let me say this.  If TripleA gets up and running w/the G40 rules, you won’t have to deal w/me in these forums anymore, as I try to use them as a way to gather info from outside my playgroup.  If I can have the people in the TripleA lobby to strat with, I won’t have to wade through the calvinfest any longer.  So, if you want me gone from the forums, please donate and support TripleA.  The link can be found elsewhere in the forums, and shockingly, it is the only post of mine that Calvin hasn’t thrown his 2 cents into yet.  Maybe he should take some of his allowance money instead and throw it into TripleA.

Spain’s war was over in 1939.   Franco actually pissed off Hitler by staying out of WW2, but he knew that he was screwed for support if he got into it on the axis side.   Spain had no money by 39 and no army to speak of.  Read about the Spanish Civil war and how it left Spain completely decimated.

If you want to argue about historical tweaking though, I do think that germany should have an NO of +5 IPCs from Spain if the Axis controls all of France.    They did give a few men and some raw materials to the Nazis.

There’s also this country called Portugal sitting there that might not have liked a Pro Axis spain and welcomed a nice American landing force.

Ask the 7000 or so Poles that died defending the Eastern front in 1940 if the Russians were neutral.

Or all the people that were executed in the process of making Poland “soviet”.

Apparently SilverBullet has given 1600$ or so to the TripleA cause over the years.   Obviously that is one extreme of the spectrum, the donation buttons allow for as little as $5.   Anything would help.  This is an free game that quite a lot of us have used and enjoyed.   If we can get a cash flow going to the devs, I’m sure they will repay us with a little work on the engine to get G/E/P 40 up and running.

I would like to say that in my opinion, TripleA allows for the easiest stress testing of setups and tweaks for balancing, as well as strat testing.  I’m in for $20 as I want the people who tell me I’m wrong, it’s not an Allied heavy game OOB to be able to show me HOW by whipping on me.  The Beta Module crap is far too slow for me.

really?  Because I have no problem w/the Spring 42 release, and I screamed up and down about Pac40 being unbalanced towards the Axis.    So check your facts kid.

More accurately, the devs need motivation and to see the need for additional rules.

I would, but they shorted me the 2 polish cavalry units I’d need to show you.  If I can find some monopoly horsies on ebay cheap I’ll get back to you.

Allowing Russia to force a German DOW is a bit broken in a game that seems to lean towards the allies already. If the allies were struggling to win, I could see making the argument to let them do so. As it stands, I think the allies are strong enough.

you have to balance the Japan opening w/the European side of the board.    J1 attack was great in Pac40 as we all know, but do you really want to put the US to 80 IPCs on US1?  Ask the Nazi next to you if HE wants you to do that.

Again, we’re talking about G40 here.  Those regions are not Neutral in the OOB setup I see.  Russia starts with E Poland, Bessarabia and the Baltics.  No need for them to attack any of those on R1, they took them on R-Zero.

Back to my point.  If Russia cannot attack on R1, then they should be considered locked or OOP on the Europe board unless acted upon by the EU Axis.

Game starts with Poland already split up per the terms of the MR pact.  Game does start in 1940 after all.  Poland was done by 9/6/39.

The DOW’s and such of G40 follow a historical timeline.  Otherwise the USSR would be able to attack Germany on R1.
