      once they fix the issue with movement bonuses from air/naval bases it’ll be playable v. humans.  Who cares about the AI?  Strats v. AI are worthless anyway.  Play AA50 v. the AI and they don’t know how to invade properly.  You can play it now v. a person, you just need to “edit” a lot during turns and it’s a pain in the arse.

      you’d still need chits for new airbases etc.  and they want us to write down our IPCs on paper, but use the plastic chips as damage markers UNDER all the chits, because apparently we can’t write those numbers down…

      WOTC sucks?

      A power that is not at war may not attack neutral territories.  Powers that are not at war may not move units into a friendly power’s territories or onto its ships or use its naval bases, nor may friendly powers move units into its territories or onto its ships or use its naval bases.  However, the United Kingdom and ANZAC have a special relationship with each other and with other powers.  They may move units unto each other’s territories or ships and use each other’s naval bases while not being at war, as well as move into certain other powers’ territories (see The Political Situation on page 8).

      rubber cement works well on foam board (your local Michaels should have it for $2 per board, I think elmers makes it) that’s how my AA50 board came to fruition.

      you can’t non combat move ground forces after they have played in combat.

      not sure about the 2nd question other than why couldn’t you just non combat the mech inf 2 spaces and not worry about it using up it’s movement point during combat over an open territory?

      The way I read the rule you check every round of rolls to see if anything is getting modified.  If you lose a tank or fighter which is bumping up the tac bomber, it drops to a 3.

      To be fair, your post title says “…Am I missing something?”

      You missed the 30 other threads discussing J1 attacks.  Vareel and I have no love lost, but I have to defend him/her on this one.  As I post this there are J1 threads on Page 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 11.

      Saying they weren’t on the front page when they are on 4 of the first 6 pages in a forum is just laziness.
