Okay, perhaps I can extrapolate some help by finding out what people do with the Allied Bid money. Where does it go? What units apparently need to be added?

I guess I must be really bad at playing the Axis then… Or everyone else here is really bad at playing the Allies! LOL

I’ve been playing A&A and it doesn’t look like the Axis have any chance of winning at all! And you are advocating that the allies get a bid? Of 20-30 extra IPC?

I’m honestly not trolling, but is there some ‘Automatic Path to victory’ for the Axis that I’m not aware of? What is it exactly? What should each Axis country be doing that stops them from being smashed by the Allies?

I haven’t read all of this thread, but in case anyone hasn’t said it…

Maybe they shut it down because they are about to sell a better version themselves?  :?

The planes land on the carrier (which is present, the landing strip gets constructed first), but the queen doesn’t smash a bottle of bubbly on it and give it a name until the end of the go.

UK builds a Factory in Norway.

The Germans take back Norway.

The US then captures Norway from the Germans.

Who gets the money for Norway, and who now can build stuff at the Factory?  UK or US ?

Kelly’s Heroes are represented by 1 ARM and 1 INF… they appear automatically as soon as US forces land in NWE.

They cannot be attacked by more than 1 INF at a time, or 1 FTR… and the ARM unit can take 3 hits before being destroyed.

They do not attack.

They move into France on the next turn, and must fight 1 ARM unit (which the germans get for free)

If they survive this they get to rob the German economy of 16 IPC

There is no way to prevent this…

The Allies do not gain this money however… it simply ‘vanishes’  :mrgreen:

There is NO WAY the Allies can win in 1941 with NO’s… NO WAY!

I’ve seen all the chat about how the game is ‘balanced’…

But in the real world, where I live, the players are not living odds calculators or tactical geniuses… the 1941 NO with tech set up is HEAVILY in favour of the axis… in my FTF games I have never seen an allied win…(around 8-9 games so far)

This is among ‘normal’ people mind you, sure there are people on here who could thrash me if I was playing the Axis… but among the ‘civilians’ there is no way for the allies to win…

Every game is the same… Japan goes mad… and if the Yanks try to stop them then Germany and Italy smash the russians and own Africa… nuff said!  :mrgreen:

Wouldn’t MacGuyver just make some kind of weapon out of the game components? Or perhaps burn the plastic soldiers in order to create toxic fumes that would render the other players unconscious… or, using chewing gum and foil, create unique pieces with extra abilities to give him the edge…

You could simulate having Macguyver in the game by just adding a tech to your nation automatically :mrgreen:
