Japan has an airbase in China. Russia liberates said territory. Is the facility removed immediately or not until the chineese turn? If Japan recaptures the territory before china’s turn, can they save a facility?
I wonder which has been more difficult:
deciphering the unit strengths/totals in Ukr/rostov
or
trying to fit them all in there :|
what I need now is paratroopers or ss infantry so I have another combat unit that won’t fit. As big as this map is its still not big enough. Have any of you guys played this FtF yet? You can’t really sit and play, you need to stand and lean over the table most of the time. Hamstrings get a hell of a workout!
Imagine being EM and trying to fit eight loaded carriers in Malaya sz! :lol: You would feel compelled to just leave them there just to avoid spilling them all when trying to move them.
my favorite “sneaky placement hiding unit strength” was the UK transports in sz112 a couple turns ago. I almost overlooked it and assumed there as only one. 8-) :-P

Not riding your coat tails, just agreeing with you. I don’t park subs exclusively though, its always been a surface fleet too. Need one to protect the transport(s) invading the balkans. Subs don’t protect trannies. :-P
italian ships would ELIMINATE ipc’s from their opponents. Italy would not receive any. The allies would need to control S.France in order for the convoy box to aliminate their ipc’s. I’m fairly certain Italy doesn’t want to eliminate German ipc’s.
Say S.France is controlled by the UK. Italy has a sub in the sz south of S.France. On the UK turn, if that sub remains at the collect income phase of the UK turn, the UK would collect two fewer ipc’s.
I think the spirit of the convoy box rules was to give the German subs a more historical function. In past A&A games all they have been able to do is attack warships. Now they can do what they were built to do. But that is not what really happens in G40. Usually its the allies employing them vs axis convoy boxes. What I mean by “flawed” is that the allies can eliminate a ton of axis ipc’s once the axis is landlocked to continental Europe. Seems like a gamey tactic.
On the other hand, the system works out well in the pacific.
