fair enough.
I’ll stil be looking for an experienced opponent for G40 alpha+2, if there are any takers.

I was really hoping to play on my own. I don’t think I am comfortable going ahead with a partner I know nothing about. Mostly because of the commitment involved in a game like this. But I won’t rule it out. PM me Niels, and lets have a private chat. See if we can get on the same page.
Play as the allies vs a good axis player. Learn from his tactics. Modify them to suit your play-style. That is the honest to god truth. No better way to go about it. No shortcuts to becoming a good player.
People call tell you what to do in the forums, but playing against them will show you HOW.
Well? If not Anchovy and Co., is there another experienced player looking to take their lumps?
I’ll take you on. I don’t have a partner but I can handle the load. Haven’t played online in about 4 years but have been looking to play a G40 game. I’ll need some coaching on how to use the dice server here. I am a vet of PBEM at AAMC so once I get a turn under my belt it will be smooth sailing. I have the G40 Battlemap up and running. Promise to give you guys a good game. I’ve playtested a few games ftf with a friend of mine who is a top shelf player so I have a feel for what I can and can’t do in G40.
so trnsports are always selected as casualties AFTER all ships are destroyed first. Are they also selected after all aircraft? Even after aircraft who scramble in defense of a fleet?
doubling the cost to repair damage markers effectively makes sbr’s heavy bombers! With the plus one, even stronger! I see a lot of aircraft being puchased to serve as interceptors. Allies will have to send aircraft to moscow, and Japan will probably have to assist germany. My initial reaction is this is too much, but I’ll wait to pass judgement. This may actually serve to represent the war more accurately, as sbr’s were more a part of WWII than what is usually the norm in a game of 2nd Ed or AAR.
A&A 2nd edition is still a huge advantage for the allies. Bids in PBEM clubs are on average at about 23 ipc’s in axis units. 6inf 1arm usually in Afr, Ukr, or split.
if fts are scramled to defend ships, are they commited to the resolution of the battle or can they withdraw after a round of combat?
