      Actually guys I cannot bring myself to take my laptop with me to Germany… which means either you can wait for me for 2 weeks or have someone else play or have Italy take over Germany for me. I just don’t want to take my laptop with me just to play Axis and Allies.

      Alright. Do we want to roll dice @5 and assign numbers to rolls; first come first serve? I would grumble if i got Japan, but if need be I would put my best attempt to be them. I just haven’t figured out how to master pacific naval combat yet.  :|

      Anyways I assume we would lump them together as:

      1.Germany/Italy
      2. Russia/France (or without France)
      3. Japan
      4. USA/China
      5. UK/ANZAC/France (or without France)

      As a heads up I am going on vacation this month. So if you guys want a 2v2 that’s cool with me (I will be in Munich for 2 weeks and North Carolina for 1 week…)

      I know I will have internet access there but I’m not sure if I will have my laptop/abattlemap.

      So it’s up to what you guys want to do/if you think I should play. :)

      Hey Brado. Sorry I haven’t posted Japan yet. I am going on vacation to Germany in a few days. Hopefully I can get Japan done by then. If not, if it’s ok with you we can resume this game when I get back in a couple weeks?

      German infantry T1 is probably not the worst buy, but improving the navy is much better. Otherwise the UK might be able to destroy it turn 1, or you lose control of the north Atlantic too fast. UK will not be pressured for 3-4 turns and can harass Italy immediately.

      The only things that seem commonish that may be worse are a major IC in Romania, as it offers little advantage as the game progresses and shows your intentions clearly.

      New carriers better for me. Like the soak and the defending “tip” decision.

      The only problem I have with carriers is being able to bring them into a suicidal fight, to land fighters that have moved their max range to arrive at the fight. The hwole rule that states " you can assume all your enemies attacks will miss and all your will hit is silly".  This rule alone screws italy in the med.  Every game the carrier gets suicided in A+2 to kill Italys fleet and allows fighters from London into the fight.

      I’m surprised that the UK is willing to suicide fighters against SZ 97 or 95.  By suiciding 2 planes they make themselves weaker in the Channel and I can’t imagine how they keep any navy after G2??  Yeah, sure, it’s a definative win against Italy, but who does that?  Besides, wouldn’t it be better to move the carrier in noncombat (assuming you won the fight) and pick up the planes, rather than send the carrier to take hits and guarantee you lose the two planes??

      It can be very appealing to cripple Italy, especially if Germany didn’t send fighters as scramble cover to Southern Italy.

      It is ridiculous and unfair that they have ripped through the Italians in 2 rolls of combat and now the Germans have sustained ridiculous damage! Now I understand why Low Luck is implemented! These forum dice are constantly unbalanced every time I begin a naval battle!!!

      If you have the French fighter in MOR, we can go by that, but I wouldn’t launch an assault with 2@2 1@3 against 2@2 1@4… So I’ll keep rolling the sea battle but if it’s okay we will leave Morrocco alone?
