Indeed, and in round 2 it will still be unlikely unless the bait is huge.

Anzac’s role is to be the USA sidekick, clearing blockers and such. (but initially it is good to build up some defence power)

The biggest weapon for the Allies is cooperation (and a huge American paycheck ;) )

Cost: 6
Attack: 4
Defend: 2

For the record, we also had marines/commandos/SS/etc
Cost: 3
Attack: 2
Defend: 1

Marines:  Limited to the Pacific, only functioned in Amphibious assaults. (Somehow they turned into Army people magically if they did not attack Amphibiously.)
Commandos:  Limited to N. Africa, Finland/Norway and W. Europe
SS: Limited to Europe/Asia west of Moscow (Karelia, Russia, Caucasus)
Samurai: Limited to China / Coastal Japanese territories
Oktober Guard: Limited to Red territories

We also had Torpedo Planes:
Cost: 15
Attack: 4
Defend: 4
Special: Could only attack Battleships and Aircraft Carriers, could defend against any attack (figured they were equipped as fighters for defending.) 
Concept:  Replace the Battleship which was ungodly expensive in classic!  (That didnt stop my brother from buying a battleship every blasted round with America…this was before the internet so we had no idea how powerful carriers were in the first place!)

Special units denoted with control marker under them.

If you are capturing Germany and losing Russia that is pretty much how it often plays out, but around round 10.  If this is occurring in round 5 your games are going very differently from how the majority of games play out among seasoned players.

Luftwaffe, games are played on this site.  There is a facility here to use a forum posting to roll dice.  There is a map utility called Battlemap that allows you to post maps to show your builds and the results of moves and combat.  This map file is then uploaded for your opponent to download and do their move.  It’s a great way to see how others play the game.  You find games here:

Yeah, the allied player was very generous. I capured a total of 15ish supply tokens from them :-D
