RE: Battle of the Bulge Strategies
oh… I was hoping there was some way to force the allied air force to split up and attack multiple tagets and end up getting at least a 3rd of 'em shot down. One question; why does the axis army get slowed down so much in the north and south, but then they just roll back the allies center armies like nothing?

RE: Question on strategies
Wow, thanks for the quick reply :-D I was also wondering, what can the axis do to counter the allies supperior air force and number of trucks?

My strange Battle of the Bulge experience
In my most previous game, I kept track of the casulties and how many supply tokens were spent throughout the game. The axis beat the allies in the 6th turn. The allies lost; 11 infantry, 5 artillery, 4 tanks, and a truck. They also spent 15 supply tokens and had 45 tokens for use. The axis lost; 3 infantry, 3 artillery, 4 tanks, and 3 trucks. They also spent 69 supply tokens and had only 10 for use. So I was wondering, why did the axis spend so many supply tokens and lose so few troops? And how did they win if they used so many supplies? How did the allies lose if they had a supperior air force and so manny supply tokens?I know that I played by the rules, so can anyone tell me why this happend?

RE: Battle of the Bulge
Yeah, the allied player was very generous. I capured a total of 15ish supply tokens from them :-D

RE: Battle of the Bulge Strategies
O.K, so what is the best way to capture and hold Bastogne? And what are some ways that I could avoid the MASSIVE allied air force?

RE: My strategies for Spring 1942
oh… isn’t Spring 1942 the Revised edition, because on my box it says, “Spring 1942, the world is at war”. By the way, what strategies do you use?

Question on strategies
O.K, when blitzing tanks, how do I keep them well supplied? And if they become surrounded, what can I do about it? I also noticed that during the first 2-3 turns, the axis has few suppliy issues, but after that, you have to choose witch armies get supplies and witch armies get nothing  Any tips?

RE: My strategies for Spring 1942
Do you play with national advantages? If you do than you could bring US and british to Russia and on Russia’s purchase units phase they can switch out the other allied units and put their own in their place!!
-
RE: My strategies for Spring 1942
When Japan attacks Russia, it keeps Russia off balance and distracts some of their important units away from the Eastern front

RE: Battle of the Bulge
It was in turn 8 and I did not use many supplies in that turn. I also captured an allied supply dump with 8 or 9 supply tokens in it. But I did advance all the way to Huy.

RE: Battle of the Bulge Strategies
oh… I can see now that it does leave your tanks out of supply. So, how do you keep supplies with blitzing tanks? :? And how can I take out Bastonge a little faster, preferably before the allies get a HUGE air force? Thanks in advance :-D

RE: My strategies for Spring 1942
I can see that a few planes would come in handy :-D But in my games the Japanese player usually attacks Russia in the 1st or 2nd turn with a large army of INF and Tanks, so as the Germans, I can take a while to build up my armies

My strategies for Spring 1942
I have found that if the germans build gobs of infantry for the first 2-3 turns and then builds massive armies of tanks you can capture Moscow in 4-10 turns, espescially if Russia is foccused on Japan. With Japan I like to take out the american navy, capture india, and build a factory in Kwangtung. :-D

Battle of the Bulge Strategies
I have found a few strategies that work well for pounding the allies earlly on. During the first turn, attack all along the entire front, then blitz as many tanks as possible through the gaps in the line; the allies will never be able to counter-attack such a deep penetration that earlly in the game!!! Also, around the 3rd or 4th turn try to surround Bastonge or simply bypass it and plow right through the center of the enemy’s army and on to victory  If anyone has any other ideas or strategies I would like to hear them.

Battle of the Bulge
Hi everyone, I just got battle of the bulge yesterday and I have already played 3 games!!! but every time, the Germans win. Is there any strategy to make live tougher for the axis player? In my most recent game, the axis had 31 supplies on the board and the allies had 59 but the axis still won??? In a game against my brother, my tanks rolled all the way to Huy and Wellin and I completely surrounded the allies northern army. If anyone has any suggestions, they will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
