Okay thanks, P@nther. I was really hoping for a detailed proper birds-eye-view map file.

Does anybody have a link to the map please?posted in Axis & Allies 1942 2nd Edition
I am in need of a clear picture of the map without any units on it, if such a picture exists. I already have the rukebook but the resolution isn’t particularly good. Thank you. :-)

RE: TrippleA v. BattleMapposted in TripleA Support
Veqryn, is there any way to slow down the data flow in the combat screen when a battle is unfolding? I just find it all happens a bit too fast for me to keep track of… Thank you very much.

Hmm, yes I must admit I’m not too happy about this myself and will decide what to do about it when I get my copy of the game. Thanks for the pic though.

Has anybody heard from Deaths Head 420 recently? Is this thread still being monitored?

Thanks for the heads up, Lydian. That is a most interesting development… If enough people agree with the changes perhaps Larry & Krieg could propose an offical amendment to the set up.

RE: Looking for specific play aidsposted in Axis & Allies 1942 2nd Edition
I have found an easy way to track Victory Cities in this game: use a red chip for the Axis and put it on the No 6 of the IPC Track, and use a green chip for the Allies and put it on the No 7. Every time a VC changes hands during the course of the game just move the two tokens up and down respectively.
Standard Victory: Axis must go from 6 to 9, Allies must go from 7 to 10
Total Victory: both sides must go to 13
Easy. :-)

Hey, this is kind of cool! Feels weird spinning a globe though. Good zoom level too.

A transport may participate in the combat phase or in the non-combat phase, but not both on the same turn.
Hi Fortress. Not true - a unit can never participate in combat during the Noncombat Move phase as the Conduct Combat phase for that turn is already over.

Can the transports offload in the non-combat phase if they retreated to a sea zone with a friendly territory attached?
Nope, retreated Transports can never offload during the turn they retreated.

RE: Plastic chips stinkposted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
Yeah, I think I have to concede that I do in fact prefer the old chips as opposed to the new 1942.2 ones. As great as they are, they just don’t hold together all that well.

FAQ/Errataposted in Axis & Allies 1942 2nd Edition
Question for Krieghund:
Will there be an official FAQ/Errata for 1942.SE coming out any time soon?
Many thanks,

I quite like that idea.

CWO Marc, thank you very much for posting the pics and I’m glad I asked! Man, that ANZAC Infantry piece looks like Andre the Giant with a rifle… Talk about the thunder from down under, these guys are gonna be pretty intimidating! :-)
I think I will have to try and trim their bases with a sharp knife!

Well yeah, but if they could make a combination of the old and new types then that would certainly be an improvement in my view, i.e. smaller circumference AND better grip.
