Hi Armada, I really like it! Very nice; well done to you. Is it just the one sheet of paper then? Would we fold it or roll it up? And how much are you selling them for? Thank you.

RE: TripleA back up and runningposted in TripleA Support
Thanks very much Veqryn. :-) I do have Java installed already and so I will check out the TripleA when I get home tonight. I’m a bit confused about what you said about owning the game and getting a lawyer though? Sorry to appear dense but can you please explain the procedure in a little more detail? I would be very grateful, and I obviously don’t want to get into legal difficulties…. thanks again.

Hi, I’m really interested in looking into this but I’m not much of a technical wiz - is it easy to install?
Also, can I play the A&A50 version on this system? Is it possible to play against the AI at all? Thanks guys. I can’t reach the links posted from work coz of security. :|

RE: China Placement Questionposted in Axis & Allies Anniversary Edition
Does anybody know what the thinking behind this rule was during development? Was it simply to make it easier for Japan to conquer China? It seems the Chinese have a hard enough time of it already… Thansk guys! :-)

RE: A.A. gun questionposted in Axis & Allies Anniversary Edition
I like the idea of having AA Guns coloured the same as the controlling power but one might need quite a few of these peices. I’m cool with AA Guns remaining grey; that way there’s plenty for everyone.
However, one modification that I made recently was to take a handful of guns from A&A Revised and paint them all bright red so as to denote them as rocket launchers when a power gains the Rockets tech! It helps people to notice that somebody has Rockets just by looking at the game board. Just swap all your grey AA Guns with red ones to show that you’ve just gained the tech. Works for me!

Crikey, I remember Der Panzinator… whatever happened to that guy?

RE: Italian Roundelsposted in Axis & Allies Anniversary Edition
Hey, I never noticed that before. I thought they were correct because that roundel has been used in many of the A&A miniatures products from AH/WotC, so I just assumed they were being consistent with AA50. I never saw a red inner/green outer circle before.

RE: 6 IPC Tanks and other unit costsposted in Axis & Allies Pacific 1940
Hmm, it occurred to me that supposing there are a lot more territories in these 1940 games, then perhaps the Tank may regain some of its former value by being able to move two spaces. That way, you can capture more territory more quickly… This could be a factor. Just a thought…

RE: Just How Old Are We Axis and Allies Players?posted in Axis & Allies Anniversary Edition
Hey everyone. I’m 34, played my first ever game in 2001 against the AI on the Hasbro pc version! Loved it so much I just had to have the board games - and now I own every variant, from MB to 1942. Well and truly sold my soul to Axis & Allies! Can’t wait for Pacific '40! :-)

RE: Question about Shore Bombardment during amphibious assaultsposted in Axis & Allies Spring 1942 Edition
Hey guys, I have a retreat question of my own. This situation came up in a current game a couple of times recently, and I read the AA42 manual for the answer but couldn’t find it stated explicitly:
When retreating from a land combat, I know that all attacking land units must move to one adjacent space from which at least one of those units originally came. But what about the attacking air units? We played it that they may move to any friendly space (range permitting) during the Non-Combat Move. Were we correct in this? Or must they move to the same space as all the land units?
Thanks very much in advance. I hope we played it right. Also, I take it that partial retreats are still allowed? i.e. all/some attacking air units may retreat from a land cobat after one round, leaving the attacking land units to continue the struggle… Is this correct also? Thank you again.

RE: 6 IPC Tanks and other unit costsposted in Axis & Allies Pacific 1940
Yep, or… maybe Tanks will have a new special ability that is as yet undisclosed, which may justify their new 6 IPC cost? Hmmm…
Personally, I like the new cost! :-) I think it may mean more attacks by Inf & Mech Inf, with the occasional boost by added armour. I would certainly like to try this, anway.

RE: Are National Objectives priced too high at $5 IPCs each?posted in Axis & Allies Anniversary Edition
Hey, cool post. I like them just fine the way they are: 5 IPCs each is a great incentive for you to strive for, whilst equally provoking a strong resistance from the enemy to ensure that you don’t get them. :-)

RE: Tech Ideaposted in Axis & Allies Anniversary Edition
Thanks again rockrobinoff.
I have no way of posting the pic on the net (and that’s a shame) but the stats I wanted to present to you all are:
Rockets:
Germany 7
Soviet Union 6
Japan 4
United Kingdom 5
Italy 3
United States 5So, by spending 5 IPCs per turn, Germany can have the Rockets tech by turn 3.
Like I said, it could be that these figures are way off and I’d really appreciate your input to get them more historically accurate.

RE: Tech Ideaposted in Axis & Allies Anniversary Edition
Thanks rockrobinoff - no I can’t see it either, for some reason.
I followed the guidelines in the help section re posting pictures, but I don’t think it has worked. Does anybody know how to do this? The file is a drawing I did on paint, saved as a .bmp file. Does it have to be a .jpg file?
Any help would be much appreciated! :-)

RE: Tech Ideaposted in Axis & Allies Anniversary Edition
Okay, here’s what I’ve come up with so far. This chart is for the Rockets tech. I have attached a picture I made; let me know if it doesn’t work or you can’t see it.

It could be that these figures are way off and I’d really appreciate your input here in order to get them more historically accurate! :-)

RE: AA50 Rules Errata and Q+Aposted in Axis & Allies Anniversary Edition
Thanks Krieghund, that’s a cool in-depth answer. I always got a bit confused on the AA Gun issue. Will this one be going in the '42 FAQ?
