I don’t know how it all works, I just placed my order on Friday morning (GMT) and got the despatch email today this afternoon. The pre-shipping delivery estimate was something like July 22nd - 29th. And now the actual delivery estimate is 18 July exactly. Weird but there you go.

Firstly, much kudos to knp7765 for his hard work on this. Pictures and details were amazing.
I flipped through the Instruction Book and found no reference to the missing 2 IPCs from United States IPC chart. In fact, in the section in the front where it states the starting amounts for each country, that also says United States starts at 15 IPCs. So, I figure it is either a mis-print in the book and perhaps they simply missed a couple of small territories when counting up USA’s starting IPCs. OR it could also be a mis-print on the map itself. Perhaps Hawaii and the Philippines are not supposed to be worth anything instead of being worth 1 IPC each. Most of the other islands are not worth anything in this game, including New Guinea and New Zealand. Borneo is only worth 1 and East Indies is worth 2. So, maybe when the printed the map, they gave values to too many US territories by accident.
I don’t know if there is yet a FAQ/Errata page for this game, but when there is, I imagine that will be one of the first things covered.
I actually think you’re right on the money there, mate. I also thought that the U.S. territories of Panama and West Indies were incorrectly given IPC values of 1, when I first saw the map. But we will find out soon enough I’m sure.
To be honest mate, it didn’t even cross my mind. I’m hungry for new A&A games and just want to get my greedy mits on 'em asap! If I can possibly get a copy 1941 any sooner than 27th July then I’m happy with that. Are you gonna wait then?

lol Seriously, I like this. I don’t know why Larry won’t make an Eastern Front title; I don’t see a problem with it myself. Okay, so the forces of democracy aren’t being represented but come on! Let’s just have a Russians vs Germans game already, it would be so cool! And I’m sure we would all buy it. :-)

Were you a cover band, or did you write your own stuff?
It was all original material up until the last 4-5 years or so when it was pretty much covers! I do still write my own music but rarely these days. Mind you, I did wake up with a new tune in my head this morning with some lyrics to boot, so I’ll see what I can do with it later.
I own Hearts Of Iron, Hearts Of Iron II (& Doomesday) and Hearts Of Iron III. I love HOI2 and still play it today. I’ve owned HOI3 for about a year or so now and have read the manual but never played it.
I want to go and see Prometheus as I’ve been a ALIEN/ALIENS fan since the eighties.
