It’s such a shame that Larry can’t just take a look at a prototype sample of a given game before it’s released! I’m sure ANY other board game company could do a better job than WotC… I just wish they cared.  :-(

Okay great, so there are 12 VCs mentioned in the Rulebook but actually 13 on the map. Brilliant.  :-(

How on earth do errors of this magnitude get through the quality control?!

I’ve been playing this one solo as well. It’s round 4, Japan has just taken India, Germany is struggling to build enough units to take Russia out, UK has control of Africa, US is still building fleets. Seems pretty balanced so far and I can’t wait to play against my friend next week. I have supplemented my own plastic chips and paper money (not that you really need it with so little IPCs in this game). All I can see so far is that I like this game a lot!  :-)

I understand that the US should start at 17 IPCs but this seems like a lot more compared to everyone else, but there you go. I think 15 would have been fairer…

Sorry GoSanchez6, I’m just feeling pretty fed up with FMG right now and I’m sure I’m not the only one. Of course, if and when the German Combat Units ever become available to purchase I will glady buy them. But right now that seems like a long way off and the silence from FMG is not really helping much. I guess I just got my hopes up. But if the Combat Dice are still available then I will be happy to contend with them for now. If people don’t like my opinion then by all means, lash away. I just wanted to voice my discontent.  :|

Are the FMG Combat Dice still available to purchase? I mean, has anybody received an order recently? I was really hoping to see the FMG Germany Combat Units at some point but I’ve pretty much given up hope on that front now. However, it would still be nice to order some Combat Dice (if they’re still for sale).

I’ve got Memoir '44 but only played it twice, not my cup of tea really. I should sell it on eBay I guess.

I received my copy over the weekend and I am loving it, much simplified, much fun. I have used some paper IPCs from my old original Europe game - just 5 Tens, 10 Fives and 15 Ones seems to do the job!  :-)

Wow, this is great news! I just hope that any errors on the previous maps have now been corrected and that the border to border connections have all been made a lot clearer. But yeah, I’m buying these, absolutely.  :-)
