Jen,
When you try any of these do you build an IC any where for example India or AUS? Or is it your strategy to lean away from IC’s altogether?
Secondly, when you do this how do you pacify Germany until you get around to them?
Hey all,
Jen I don’t dispute your theories or ideas, (althoe others here do). I like you concepts on keeping the game from falling into its old ruts of KGF then focus on Japan. What I get a kick out of most is when you counter-attacking others criticizing you ideas like a rabid junk yard dog. :-)
Hey all,
lol I would have to agree 100% with that Jen.
Hey all,
Aside from using diffrent rule sets are there any other ways all y’all limit NA’s?
Hey New Paint Brush,
I have to hand it to you the right answer is always the easy answer in this game. I find my self and others caught up on simple technicalities. I don’t know about you but its always refreshing to have an outside opinion on trivial things like this.
Thanks for your input,

Hey All,
Colonel Cool, Sounds like a plan worth trying. I will give it a try next time.
Hey Guys/Gals,
From what I have read a good 99.99999999% of you prefer to KGF. I would have to agree with you. Althoe with the US’s Strong economic base in theory you could start in any theater you wanted to and should be able to pull it off.
Thus my question for debate: If you prefer KJF how do you get the momentum ball rolling and execute the plan effectively?
Hey,
You guys/Gals are killing me! I can tell you are looking at this just not responding.
Heres another one my group added:
BB’s get two dice like bombers. We figured this was fare because now that there are destroyers who can also bombard coast lines there no reason to shell out the extra green backs. We also figured that because they cost so much it will put a natural cap as to becoming stupidly ridiculous.

Hey guys/gals,
I think Jen brings up a good point I personally don’t like to use transports a fodder. Ideally I would use subs. so here is the question
What unit makes the best fodder at sea?
Personally in the end I don’t see a long term need for a navy in the game because of the following: 1) anything that floats is expensive. 2) like in any war at the end of a battle no one wins just some loose more than others. 3) the only need for a navy in the game is ship troops to shore to kill other land units. 4) lastly after the smoke clears no one gains or looses IPC’s as a result (revised game).
Yeah,
That would seen logical newpaintbrush. The only down fall would be is how do you remember if several rounds go by?
Hey Sigaam,
“original Owner” I don’t think would always apply to the builder of the IC. For example as Japan I have taken held and built an IC on India many times before the UK built one.
Maybe you were referring to your above mentioned scenario with UK’s IC in Egypt, if so disregard above statement.
Hey Guys/Gals,
Sorry to barge into you conversation. Quick noob question and I’ll let you go. What is AARHE?
Sorry again to interupt,

Hey Guys/Gals,
I don’t know if you followed up with cheap unit type per nation (I didn’t read all 28 pages you posted). It came up on page 1. You were talking about limiting unit discounts. Like only so many per game or limiting how many get discounted.
Well here is my two cents on the matter:
For Russia tanks would be the ideal discounted unit. So to put a natural cap on the limitations why not make the rule for every 4 ARM bought get 1 free. This way you a required to spend so many on that type of that unit any way. The Russian player isn’t always going to buy ARM so it would always average itself out in the end.
What do you think?
Hey,
Here is what I found in the LHTR 2006 updated rules:
“Usable by invading forces: If a territory is captured, any AA gun(s) there are also captured. Their new owner is the player owning the territory.”
I would think that to be interpreted to mean that if US or Russia retook Egypt that because it would go back to the UK (depending on other circumstances [reguarding capital occupation]) that both AA guns would now also belong to the UK.
Hey,
I think OOB = Out of Box.
So what are OM and LHTR and where would you find a copy of the rule sets?
Hey,
I am a man. All the girls and woman I know would rather have a root canal then play any form of the A&A game; however, my wife does have an unusual liking to video games. It has been my experience that not many girls and especially woman have the same level of intrest in video games as they do A&A games.
Hey,
Yeah I would have to agree 100% with Out Side Lime on that.
Hey,
I agree with you guys revised is the way to go; however, I had one buddy who just didn’t grasp the concepts until he started DDay. So I would have to say it depends on the person also.
The only thing I can think of that made DDay easy to start with is all the idiot cards tell you what to do in order. But for the most part I stick with revised

Hey All,
Here is an intresting topic I have found doing a little reading here. In most of your home based groups as well as the tournaments here there are rule variations.
My question here is what are some costom rules you or your group have come up With to make your game intresting?
One rule in my group is INF can spawn on any territory your country had controll of at the beginning of the game (with or without an IC) not to exceed the IPC value of that territory. The reason for this rule is most Melita units don’t come from populated areas. plus this helps all players equally I think.
Also include your justification for variation. :-D I think we all can have a lot of fun with this topic!
Thank you,
