I really want this, but no way I’m spending close to $400… :|

Seems like a stupid question. But I can’t seem to find an answer…

I once played a game where the US got long range aircraft and then bought only fighters. There was a point where they had 20 or 30 fighters on the board and they just flew around the globe ravaging German tanks and Japanese ships.

In the end the Allies lost but it was a devastating tactic. The drawback being it was an expensive one.

idk what that monkey business is all about but I guess it’s good to know there will be a second edition.

What’ll the price range probably be? $50 per box again?

Ah okay, so the fighter is basically treated as a regular unit, and even tanks or infantry could destroy it? Thanks, good to know.

I don’t see why whoever made the decision to stop producing this has done so… It seems like there’d still be a market for it. I for one still want to get a copy, but not for $80 each.

Has any statement been made as to why?

Let’s say there is a territory occupied by a sole fighter, and it is attacked. What happens? I’m guessing it’s one of these scenarios… But which? Is the fighter treated as a land unit in this case?

a) The fighter keeps defending until it is destroyed, the invaders are destroyed, or someone retreats.
b) The fighter can only return fire once and then must pull out due to “having nowhere to land”.
c) Something else entirely? :?

I honestly don’t know and can’t seem to find any clarification in the rulebook.

What about a house rule in which they could “bombard” enemy units in an adjacent land territory, with the enemy only able to return fire with their own artillery? I think that would make artillery a lot more useful, as in my experience nobody ever buys artillery… Ever.

Seems like it would be pretty balanced… Thoughts?

Hello, I’m relatively new to Axis and Allies (and this is my first post on this forum). I currently own only Axis and Allies Revised. I’m interested in attaining Axis and Allies Global 1940. I’ve looked around and it seems that Amazon is the cheapest place I’ve found to buy it from. But, it still adds up to a whopping $120.

Where is the cheapest place to buy the two 1940 games?
