    • Airborne and fortifications?

      Ok somewhere someone has probably asked this but if an airborne unit gets dropped into a zone that has only a fortification there to defend it does it still fight the airborne guy since there is no crossing of any borders?

      @alphaaeffchen the diplomacy expansion is really fun (my favourite) it would add some variation to the USSR options early on for sure

      1. Aquitaine becomes German after the French surrender
        2 . Yes on long range aircraft no on jet power you have to build them they are more expensive and better than regular fighters you just have to read the rules a bit more cheers

    • RE: What on earth are the pieces that you need to play Global War 1936?! Like, just an actual list of useful pieces please.

      @chris_henry
      We used the old axis and allies battleships from like the classic version or whatever as battlecruisers the size is nice cause it’s just between the real battleship size and the heavy cruiser (we used AA Europe and pacific cruisers as heavy cruisers) ditto on the old subs as coastal subs

      @trig just going to weigh in here one thing I wish we had thought of off the hop is using all your A&A standard infantry as militia and buying the 1/72 box sets for regular infantry - we ended up doing that anyway and it works good -just at first we bought like a 100 Dutch infantry for HBG to use as milita

    • RE: Amphibious Assault Clarification

      @vondox just that the amphibious assaulting units have to be chosen first if there are casualties there’s an actual example of this somewhere in the rule book I’m pretty sure

    • RE: Air Superiority Rules for GW 1936 v3

      @vondox you just designate hits by your fighters first round to aircraft if possible if there’s none present they count as hits against whatever else is there, I think your just overthinking it a bit hope this helps

      @vondox
      The air superiority thing is not first strike so the defending planes fire back regardless if hit or not

    • RE: V1 and V2 house rules

      @david-06 no taken! I’ve never played the ordnance expansion it’s a little rule - y for my taste at a glance anyway have only been playing for a year ish now

      As for the range of 2 it’s so you’d have to move them around a bit like up to the coast along the lines of what they did in ww2 - also it’s way past the range of a v1 or v2 even to fly from Berlin to London just googled the distance when I was thinking about this

      @insanehoshi thanks for the feedback! You might be right I was originally going to post it as costing “3” but I got thinking maybe that was too good

    • RE: Rocket Artillery and Shock Attack

      @delaja thanks ! Thinking now attack at 2 or less with 3D12 suppression on “3” - (that way there can still be the -1 attack going into mountains and cities etc just not sure if that will be too overpowering yet tbd

    • Rocket Artillery and Shock Attack

      Here’s an idea for nebelwefer and rocket stuff katushkas or whatever
      Requires strat rocket tech.
      1)can only effect (affect?) infantry Calvary and light vehicles
      Cost $3 or $4 maybe for vehicle ones
      Moves 1 or 2 depending on if vehicle or not (obvious)
      2) 3? D12 per round of combat

      Hits (kills) on “1”

      Shock damage on any D12 rolls of “2” -so opponent then selects unit that doesn’t get to fire back that round

      Attrition attack 3 D12s @1 also hits on “2” suppress enemy unit for one round of combat (no roll) which would be good if there was a second attack happening after the attrition attack

      Would also bump up attacking infantry +1

      Any thoughts or suggestions on this guys?

      @david-06
      -Lots of V1s were launched from planes in WW2 mainly the Germans used Heinkels and the FW 200 from what I’ve read
      -none were actually launched from subs but the tech was there Hitler wanted to bomb the US with them

      @delaja I like this idea too especially in a 2 player situation it might balance it out a little better for the axis
