    • Ski Troops

Can Ski troops retreat before the attacker rolls? Or are they like partisans where the attacker rolls, then instead of firing back they can retreat?

    • Commanders and SCW

Does anybody know in the SCW admiral version if your playing commanders does each side get a commander off the start? Or do you lend lease them there? And if so wouldn’t that unbalance it because there would be no Soviet commander to send?

    • RE: The benefits of strategic bombing - opinions?

@hms-serapis Spanish civil war to knock out the nationalist major port is a pretty standard move . I think they are pretty good generally hard on your money if your the guy getting bombed

@chris_henry very interesting! I like your axis minors angle it would be a great idea for an expansion , I think! The sort of boundaries for each is great too! I hope HBG comes out with some more expansions soon

    • RE: Any house rules out there for gliders?

@insanehoshi I could see 3 for the big one for me it’s hard to tell I think we might play test it with the little gliders at 1IPP and the big ones at 2 I could see where someone might think thats a bit light though

@insanehoshi super good. Do you think 2 or 3 IPPs would be unreasonable since it’s a one time use ?

    • SOE Brandenburgers

Can anyone clarify the ‘infiltrate’ role of these units? I’m thinking once they are in an enemy land zone they cause the enemy units to retreat on a roll of 11-12 if an German attack takes place there or if they (ie Soviets or whoever) attempt to attack out of that zone. Is that right?

    • RE: Commanders and Terrain?

@noneshallpass ok I hear you and I seen that trig had explained it it’s just that as the attacker rolls the defender (usually) selects casualties, right? So if the battleship is hit it would be moved down to “6” before it rolls back so when it’s the defenders turn to shoot back his battleship is sitting in the “6” position it just makes sense that that’s what it would roll back at. Not trying to be difficult here and I think trig is like a designer or something right so he’d know for sure ?

    • RE: Latin America Expansion Heavily Favors The US?

@mike141500 they would be safe until Germany goes to war, at least. We had a game where Germany aligned Argentina super distracting for US kept them busy for 3 or 4 turns where they could’ve been using their stuff to fight in Europe

    • RE: Rolling for turn order

@noneshallpass yeah definitely would be super unpredictable- that situation of Germany with a double turn and a blitz move could just about wrap up the game … I mean if someone felt like it was starting to feel scripted or whatever not there myself just a thought

    • Rolling for turn order

Has anybody tried playing with random turn order each calendar turn? We had an idea today (sort of from samurai swords) where each round highest roll goes first and so on down … just as a house rule just curious how that went if anyone’s already tried that

    • RE: Armies Retreating house rule

@insanehoshi interesting ideas or even simpler just surrender on a ‘12’ if surrounded maybe with the exception of cities but maybe not . I think being
Able to retreat is OP think the Utti Jaegers in Finland so hard to take out youd end up with huge stacks of stuff that couldn’t be killed ala axis and allies old version Germany and Russia

@trig along this line of thought if you non combat move say a transport through a sea zone where an enemy sub is present can he stop it and sink it?
