I’m curious as to how many people use Airfix/Italerie/Revell/etc 1/72 infantry units in their games. I used to be against this preferring the OOB units, but I have spent a small fortune over the last week buying different sets on eBay to add “spice” to the game. Bottom line is I’m having fun researching the sets and also learning more WW2 history as I go. It’s amazing the detail some of these infantry pieces have! Has anyone else been bit by this bug?

I agree with Triple A X Ray.  Seems like this power rating chart doesn’t take a lot of variables into account.

I guess I am asking if you can “reinforce” a seazone during non combat phase after you cleared it in combat phase.

If I conduct an amphibious invasion on Japan in seazone 6, or really any seazone for that matter, can I leave boats behind  (carriers to avoid kamikaze in this case), and then move them into seazone 6 on non combat?  Assuming I cleared the seazone.  In last game I brought the carriers and opponent rolled 3  kamikaze on each carrier causing me to lose some planes.

I would love to hear some G42 opening strategies.  This is my set up of choice.

I got D Day at Christmas last year and have played about 4 times.  For 25 bucks definitely worth it.  I paid 45 for factory sealed.  I may play it once a year going forward.  Meant to play it this past June 6th but was unable to do so.

Got this version for Christmas.  On my 3rd game now…we have been playing where artillery when paired with infantry increase infantry attack to 2.  D day rules do not call for this.  Anyone know how this may affect game balancing?

Man those are cool.  I have some Amazon gift cards from Christmas that have been burning a hole in my pocket….hmmmm.  Do they all come in a “base” color for painting?  What paint to use?

I always track prices on Amazon.  I got 1941 in early December for 15.99, just for the sculpts.  It just recently went back to 15.99 and now to 17 buck or so.  I have both Global second edition games and those are quite pricy, but very nice.  To your point….when do you forsee Global 2nd edition going out of print?  Do you think it is a good investment ?

I guess I will just keep it as a collector’s item.  I was kind of hoping someone would want to buy it so I could spend that money on more stuff from HBG lol.  I seem obsessed with ordering more and more HBG units to customize my Global 1940 game.

I have a copy of “Enemy on the Horizon” by Black Baron Games.  Does this have much value?  Is anyone interested or am I just better off keeping this as a collector’s item?
