      @gargantua Maybe it’s all been a trick to get you guys to come back.

      This all feels a bit surreal to me and I feel like I’m missing something. I don’t want to come off as a douche (my daughters favorite expression, not necc. about me) but… Trulpen said he has cancer and that it’s not going well.

      I don’t have an opinion about the playoffs but I’d like to say that I’ve played Trulpen a few times, they were fast-paced and enjoyable games (except for the ass-kicking parts) and I’m very sorry to hear about his condition.

      @gamerman01 All the best from Victoria, Canada. It’s been a trying time for many, I hope things work out for Bold and his family.

      I’d like to also thank everybody on this forum for all of the games in the past year - my wife and I have been staying at home since March 2020. We both work at home, our college age daughter is taking remote courses and I’ve had a much easier time of it because of all the A&A games I’ve been able to enjoy.

      @avner My experience with playing against stronger players than myself (and, man, last year was my first year in the league and it was humbling) is that I feel like I’m constantly under pressure. I believe, for me, becoming a better player means more foresight, experience and just flat out aggression.

      As a software developer I have to note that this is the problem with open source software. There is no business model for people continuing to donate tens of thousands of dollars worth of engineering time to keep this thing afloat. Don’t get me wrong, I love having the software, it’s just a case of sometimes you get what you pay for.

      Also, Martin, it’s been awhile and I’m playing again so hopefully we can get in a game later this year.

    • Post Turn and PbF Issues

      Hi Panther, couple of more pieces of information.

      1. At the end of my turn I select “Post Turn Summary”. After a successful post that button remains active - it used to dim. Maybe that was a design choice but as a user I find that confusing.

      2. I can reproduce the “Play by Forum” bug. If I reload a game, play as local, save state, reload game, “Play by Forum” then it drops some of the fields on the dialog after selecting the button “Play By Forum” (fields are To:, CC:, Game Name: and Topic ID:). I can fill those in and continue but then I get a send error when trying to post the turn summary. If I play it “live” all the way through then it doesn’t drop those fields and sending works. I copied those fields from a saved game and I’m pretty sure I got them correct but I can save that game state and send it along if it’s useful.

    • Unit count bug in battle

      I’m encountering a bug so weird I feel like I’m forgetting something…

      1 defending Japanese infantry in Sumatra.

      I land 2 infantry and fly in 4 fighters. The game rolls 2 dice for the infantry and 1 for the 4 fighters. I would prefer if it rolled all 4 dice… Anybody seen this before?

      Thanks all, bug report submitted.

      @Barnee - I had originally moved all 4 fighters into Sumatra at once - the one at a time maneuver was we me trying to work around the bug.
