    • Latest Patch and Utilities for Hasbro Axis and Allies CD-Rom 1998

Go here to download the the 1998 Hasbro Axis and Allies CD-Rom Version 5.1

      http://ewarzone.com/aa.html

Hasbro bugs fixed by the patch and other additions:

Unit lock…maximum units on the board increased from 300 to over 1000.
Battleship bombardment bug…use as many battleships as you want in an amphibious assault without locking up the game.
      SecureDice…defeats any dice hack
      New chat commands
      DirectX9.0 fix
      Anti-Aircraft gun bugs fixed
      Odds grapher
      Editor…edit ipc’s and tech

After you have installed the patch go here to download the WARZONE client which will allow you to play other people face to face on the internet:

      http://home.centurytel.net/khb/aa/WarZoneInstall.exe

If you wish to play rated games on the warzone please visit:

      http://www.axisandalliesworldclub.net/

And the message board…also if you have any technical issues please visit:

      http://axisandalliesworldclub.org/forums/viewforum.php?f=26

All these utilites and fixes were created by Plotinus and aqrit. Thanks to their hard work this game is very playable…not at all like when it first was released.  Too bad Hasbro couldn’t fix these bugs and we had to wait so many years.

      Thanks,

      kurt3892

    • RE: I have a Question

To play A&A online you need the cd made by Hasbro(and NOT the Ironblitz version)…the only place you can get it nowadays is on ebay as far as I know.  Go to www.axisandalliesworldclub.com to visit the website or go to www.axisandalliesworldclub.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi to visit the messageboards.  We used to play on the msn gaming zone but now the club has it’s own server callled the WARZONE that you can download in about 5 minutes.  Just doubleclick the WARZONE icon on your desktop and you can play A&A online.

    • RE: Any advice on my stiuation?

I wouldn’t recommend SUD’s proposed action in Africa. Attack the UK fleet as he says but instead of landing two German infantry in AES, land them in Libya instead along with the fighter from Western Europe. UK will have one less unit in a counterattack on this territory…and you still collect income from AES this turn anyways.

In Egypt: a battle that favors UK

      UK: 1 inf, 1 armor, 1 bomber
      Gy: 2 inf, fighter

In Libya: a battle that favors Germany

      UK: 1 armor, 1 bomber
      Gy: 2 inf, fighter

But…If the UK battleship survives the battle in the Spanish Seazone you must move to AES as SUD says in order to preserve your precious German Navy.

By the way…who controls Alaska in this game?

      Mapview…go here: http://www.motcreations.com/mapview

Download Mapview and the axis and allies module…the rest is very easy.

Officially cancelled but unofficially three guys showed up and played some games along with a couple locals at the shop. They are supposed to reschedule another one in the summer sometime in the same place.

    • FACE-TO-FACE PLAY!! GAMEDAY RETURNS!!

      Posted from Spring1942 mb…post made by Dr_NeoCortex:

      Hello all,

      Announcing GAMEDAY!
      Saturday April 26th

We have held five or six over the past couple of years and feel it is about time for another. Past attendees have come from NY, PA, MI, etc., even as far away as Canada! Guys like SUD, AlliedPlayer, Caesar, GenPyle, WarriorSoul, CaptRick, Splaticus/Hoth, BannSidhe, Pzkwi and many others…come out and meet the guys you have played online for years!

The event will be held in Woodbridge VA just off of I95 near the Potomac Mills Mall. This is only a short distance south of Washington DC and about 90 minutes north of Richmond VA. In the past we have played at a place called the GameParlor in Chantilly VA. Game Parlor has opened a new store in Woodbridge which is larger, has a set of eight networked PC’s running Battlefield 1942, and is more convenient to food and lodging.

      Directions can be found at:
      http://www.gameparlor.com/Directions/woodbridge.html

Sign up for this event here:

    • RE: Russia withdraw from SFE?

Soviets must pull out of Soviet Far East on Russia’s first turn. If they do not Japan may be able to place sufficient forces on Manchuria to destroy any Russian forces that would retreat to Yakut on Russia’s second turn. I would recommend leaving one Russian infantry unit on SFE as a picket. The more targets Japan attempts to hit on its first turn the more chance of the dice going against them. In other words…don’t let Japan have the territory for free make them expend resources in order to take it. Not sure what Alaska has to do with all this though.

    • A&A CD players…your help is needed!

A working dice cheat has been developed for the Axis and Allies CD-ROM. As a result online rated play and several clubs are in danger of becoming obsolete. We are trying to convince the company which owns the rights to the cd to create a patch which can defeat the dice cheat. Please take a few minutes to sign up for their message boards and add your voice to the petition:

Not true…a placed factory on territories worth zero ipc’s such as Gibraltar can produce one unit per turn.

    • RE: Where can i download A&A?

There are so many bugs in Iron Blitz it is virtually unplayable. No patch was ever made for the game like the original cd version. Do not buy a copy of IB unless you want to melt it for bullets.

    • RE: Where can i download A&A?

Are you talking about a free download? You cannot play other people online without a cd…download only won’t work. Iron Blitz is worthless by the way, I’m talking about the original cd which is playable.
