EDIT: I downloaded it and it said that there was a problem and that it could not be repaired. I assume I am the only one getting this problem.

Do we need to land a unit to capture Gibraltar? I am still a bit unfamiliar with it, thanks. :wink:

I followed IL’s plan of attack last night and it works fine for destroying most of the Royal but it seems like my territories bordering the Russians are going to be severely depleted, there is enough Russian Inf to sacrifice against the Army Group North, and Army Group South if the Russian player was feeling lucky, his lone tank can even reach one of the territories. And Finland will most likely fall also as when I was following the strategy, I had to pull an Inf from there. I also had to change the Purchases on G1, I bought 5 Inf and 3 ARM because I just couldn’t justify the 2 bombers, I just didn’t feel safe. France and NW Europe only had 1 Inf on them each at the end of the round, so I would have to re-stock them too, just doesn’t seem like enough Inf to go around. Did I screw that up? The Egypt attack wen’t along smoothly, I was left with 2 Tanks.

IDK, just curious to see what people think of the strat.

Italy is my favorite faction by far, I am just so pumped to play them tomorrow,thanks for the great read Jen.

i dont know enough wwII ships to pick a favourite, although i think this one would have been really cool, if it was ever manufactured, have any of you heard of the proposal by someone from the american side to build aircraft carriers out of
ice that dosent melt, i know it sounds bizzare, they said it would have been virtually indestructable because it would have been as strong, if not stronger than concrete, and have the capacity to carry far more aircraft because of this,
i think the ice is called perma-ice or concrete ice, i dont know if it was manufactured or what, i only caught a glimpse of the programme while watching television.

The British commisioned Canada to build an Aircraft carrier out of ice,I forget where they were attempting to build the prototype in Canada but they were having great difficulty. Seemed like a wacky idea,I doubt it would have worked all that great in the end.

I didn’t bother to wait and see if it was coming here(Canada) so I ordered 2 copies from the States during the summer.Because you are right it takes forever for something to get here, and if it is here it is only in certain locations.

No but I agree there are going to be some really cool strategies with Paratroopers, and no doubt some really funny ones.
But it is going to hurt when a couple fully laden bombers get shot down :-(Thats a hefty amount of IPC’s gone in one round.

Unfortunately, it didn’t get a unique sculpt.  They reused the Japanese bomber, molded in brown.  Apparently they thought that the Japanese Betty more closely resembled an actual Italian bomber than any of the other existing sculpts.

Thanks for a quick answer :-), but either way I would have liked a unique sculpt even if it was ugly looking :-P

In the few games I messed around with the new battlemap module I would say my findings back that up IL. I did not take Gibraltar on I1 as I wanted my navy in the central med to protect my new transport and to set up for African land battles. I think it is best to wait until latter for the Italians to attack the Russians to assist Germany. Because of the Russian NO I think the Allies will concentrate on Africa more as opposed to the old Karelia stack. if it looks like Africa is a lost cause a couple of bombers to help Germany harass England or Russia with can be money well spent.

I also think that Italy will be the new Japan in the game in that it will be the hardest to get the most optimal play out of.

Did Italy even get bomber pieces?

I really hope FMG does something new every chance they get, now we get awesome dice, maybe later limited time only dice towers :mrgreen:

I am getting two mainly for the extra units, and to give me an extra board to work with for modifications.  Since Hasbro will not sell components, it is the only way to get these items.  I will probably start picking up copies of Revised on eBay for the same reason.

That was my plan as well, there is actually some pretty good bargains on e-bay. But the one thing I can’t find on there is extra pieces :|
