      @way2slo:

      My question would be:  Why would you want to?

      The only reason I can think of is to move an AC to pick up planes from combat.  Other than that, wouldn’t you want to just include those units in the combat itself?   :?

      Not necessarily.

      Let us say that you undertook a battle in which you thought that you would either withdraw from or win with only a slight edge.  (You may choose to attack, but withdraw early, to weaken an enemy stack of forces.  After you withdraw, your forces are vulnerable to enemy attack, but if you move up reinforcements, you strengthen your position.  In theory, then, you can attack, inflict casualties, and retreat to a strong place that you cannot be attacked at).

      But anyways, say you thought you weren’t gonna do so hot, but suddenly you kick ass all over the place, and lose nobody.

      So then, instead of having 1 infantry to hold that territory, you suddenly have 6 infantry.  Plus your opponent just got whuppped.

      So you move up reinforcements that you WERE going to hold back - those reinforcements help you secure the territory, because the enemy’s so weak that the enemy can’t really risk attacking your pile of units.

      ?

      I am speaking of averages here…

      And it is not the INF that creates the extra Russian deaths, it is the FIG and ARM living longer with the extra fodder AND the extra single roll of a 2 which gives you a 33% chance of an extra death in and of itself.

      In my example I want to retreat my forces.  That way they have a shot at possibly being involved in antiarcraft fire in both hexes.  That’s why I chose the forward hex first, since I as Axis had the initiative.  If I were Allies, with air initiative, and I wanted to prevent Axis from doing that as in my example, then I would, yes, choose the rear hex first.

      What about attacking the transports with your aircraft? Have Russia also do this, if they can (maybe the Russian bomber can take out 1 trn).

      10 minutes for sure. We play a weekly game at the local hobby shop and it drives me nuts when some chowder head spends 20 minutes trying to figure out where to buy then another 20 minutes where to attack. Arrrrggggh! I usually loose intrest in the game because it is so hard to stay focused.

      the dire rolling and combat resolution should be unlimited, after all there can be some pretty big battles out there and there may be times when you have to think hard on wether to push the attack or break off.

      But yea 10 minutes for every thing but combat resoultion.

      @The:

      The Japanese capitol ships are irreplaceable…That is Japans weak link…Wipe their navy out,however you can and Japan falls like a ripe apple.They wont be able to build an army large enough,nor have enough time to fight Russia

      I agree, however its not that easy to catch the Japan navy if they play smart. I f the US navy at Pearl Harbour is destroyed at J1 it will take several turn before US can destroy the Japan navy if it stays together. And if US want to land in France it will even harder for the US navy get the upper hand on Japan. But it is possible, ive seen it happen.
