      Yes, it should, but since the game has been obsoleted by a 2nd edition, it probably will not be. However, in cases like this where a rule is clarified in the 2nd edition which also exists in the 1st edition, it’s safe to apply the clarification retroactively to the 1st edition as well.

      @Gen.Nehring:

      A must for the allies to stand a chance of winning. The Turkish strait has got to be closed! The Italians can do a commando landing in the Caucasus and kill off a few Soviet pieces then the Germans go and finish off the Caucasus before the Soviets go again. Totally a necessary rule! The scramble and escort rule works too as the U.S. and Brits can bomb Germany time after time with just the antiaircraft “1” rolls to fear!

      If you play by the book on this option, incoming StBs and escorting Fg submit to AA gun fire, then to intercepting Fighter defending @2.
      StB have no attack roll, only escorting Fg A1.
      No real piece of cake for D6 damage on IC, if Germany put 2 Fighters as deterrent.

      @Imperious:

      I sent a PM to Djensen a looog time ago for that.

      It is really no big deal. Anybody who looks into more than a few threads in GCNL and BOTB and still needs to see a badge to show that I know what I’m talking about… well… I don’t think the badge will convince them either.

      It may be more important in the global game threads though since those are typically more active than the battle games.

      So one of the issues here is that a player can leave a single infantry in a contested territory as a rear guard, holding up the advance of, say, 20 infantry and 10 artillery for an entire turn.  Well, here’s a possibility:

      If combat takes place in a contested territory, and the player whose turn it is scores enough hits to kill each defending unit at least 3 times, that player can advance any or all of his victorious units into a new enemy controlled territory, initiating a new combat.

      @thrasher1 Yes, that’s the latest version available. There was a later version that addressed an issue with AAA, but it never got published. All of these issues are addressed in the Renegade Rulebook.

      @Spendo02:

      Q. What happens if Japan attacks a Mongolian territory in the same turn that it attacks a Soviet- controlled territory that is adjacent to a Mongolian territory?
      A. All of the other strict neutral territories will immediately become pro-Allies, and all of the Mongolian territories that are not captured by Japan will become controlled by the Soviet Union at the end of Japans Conduct Combat phase.

      All of the strict neutrals on the Pacific map, or all of them on the Global board?

      all on the global board.
