The Bofors sounds good to me.I can’t think of anything more universal.

I agree. I think the Swedes knew they were on their on if it came to war with Germany.
The prewar Scandanavian alliance was hopeless. The Czechs/Poles received little aid.The
States were sitting it out.Who could they trust?
Back on subject, they would make the best neutral for the game.GHQ and Navwar make
Hungarian armor. The Toldi 1/2 and Nimrod were all Swedish designs built on licence. The
Bofors 15CM also.I have the Navwar types and use them for both countries. -

Don’t want to stray too far,but the Japanese had the massive 6 engine Fugaku that would have fit somewhere between the B29/B36.Never a chance of being built. We may see it in
1/600 from Raiden.Someone said that the Japanese egg/capsule toy makers managed a beauty in their range. -

Actually,I think the He 117 had 2 engines per nacelle, giving it 4 engines.I love the old hunchback, but I vote for the Piaggio!

RE: Table Tactics coming out with new pieces!posted in Other Axis & Allies Variants
I do remember Jack saying something about a new release for the summer.I emailed concerning V2s in the 3 color reinforcement package.I hope its a go.I have all 5 sets. They are great additions to the game(s).I love the WW1 tanks, modern apcs(they work for most
M113 types),and the 1/2 track.I remember in an old interview of his how disappointed he was with the ships. They are kinda lame, about like Eagle’s types. -
RE: Games with modern-day partsposted in Other Axis & Allies Variants
You could keep an eye on Ebay and watch for the old Helen of Toy games known as
Fighting Ships and Task Force.I have these and they have nice modern ships. They go very well with my 1/3000 metal ships from Navwar/Denian.Although these games were designed
in the late 50s/early 60s the ships are very modern. The CGN is very stealthy, roughly the size of the CVs that came out in the later AA games. The DDG is about the size of the later
AA BBs,maybe bigger. The FF,not very modern but would work well in AA.The sub is smaller
than the new AA subs, about the size of the classic sub, reminds me of the Barbel class or
maybe the latest Dutch sub.The CV is HUGE,about 5 inch.Reminds me of a WW2 Lexington
class with an angled flight deck. The CV/PT boat are out of scale with rest, the PT about half the size of the sub.The merchantmen/jets are AA like, pretty plain.
These were sold in the old war comics of the 60s/70s,although I bought mine in the mid 80s.The rules were very simple, but I love the game pieces.I agree,a WW3/modern game
would be great! -

Hi Guys,
This is my first post and will pre order 3 sets.As a miniature gamer first,I can tell you if you needed extra metal minis(1/300 scale),GHQ would want $8 just for a 5 pack of WW2 tanks.
They are very nice minis, but I’ll take the plastic anyday.Actually,I’m sure I’ll need more than 3!
