Good points on the German and Romanian/Dutch helmets. The Romanian SP(Marseal?) was an inspiration for the Marder,if thats the SP built on the Pz 38 chasis.I know I’m
sounding like a broken record on this one,but the Hungarian Toldi tank,Nimrod SP/AA,and
75 mm(Bofors) were all license built Swedish designs.
I would stock up on just about anything for the minor Euro powers and sell my metal stuff that I presently have for them to pay for it!

Could be well off here,I was thinking it was the Micheal(the Brave)cross.Micheal was regent(and son) of the royal family.I have decal sets for fighters and bombers and a set that is part of a minor axis power decal sheet in 1/300.They probably just miss as they are a little large for A/A armor.
Hope I’m nor off topic!
I also remember a metal for bravery bearing the same title.

Nice work! Sounds about right.

Sorry for the delay. Most of my 1/3000 is Navwar.Davco(Skytrex) is roughly the same. There is a smaller firm that has lots of minor ships that even Navwar don’t carry, but they are sold by Stronghold which isn’t trading at the moment. The old Trafalgar range is being produced by MY Miniatures. These are some old molds but Mick is getting these right. He has a lot of newer things that are great and will nor be made by anyone else. The Soviet WW2 hybrid BB/CV,also WW2 hybrids thet were proposed by several other nations. The jewel of 1/3000 scale is Denian Models.Ian only does moderns, but they are great.Sadly,Denian is a one man show and can be as hard to deal with as Navwar. But Navwar gets my support,if you need a WW2 Swedish fleet pack(I have 3),you can only get it from Navwar.
I have a few 1/4800/1/6000,but they are a little too small. But MY does a solid range of these. They are nothing like C+C,but Micks latest/newest are nice. His mini of the Rex
liner as a CV is a beauty. These are 1/4800 by the way.In 1/6000,Afrodri on Shapeways
makes 6-7 moderns.Due to no one making the latest air warfare DDGs in 1/3000,I bought a bunch of his Arsenal ships to fill in as proixes. These fit in well in 1/3000,as they are roughly the size of a Burke class DDG,but are super stealthy and have about 60-70 well define silos. -

Good point.I too plan to use FMGs minis instead of 1/300 British made types. These are cheaper then GHQ/PFC(C+C) but lack some of the detail. The 1/3000 scale ships don’t fit in well with AAtypes either, but they do minis of most ships from the 15th to the 21st
century.I recieved the new USN Freedom LCS last month along with some proposed WW2
Soviet hybrid BB/CVs! -

Pretty cool! Axis and Allies is one of the few ranges that I don’t field a Confederate force
of some kind. -

This project is really looking sweet FMG!

I’m a fracophile,so I agree with the leadership as France’s problem early on,although it’s always hard to defend the militia later in the war.The Char B/M3 matchup is a good one,
and the allies did have the advantage in armor in 40.I think the Pz III was making its appearence in fair numbers but the I/II were not up to Allied medium types. The Czech tanks were the workhorse for another year and played their part well even as they were adapted to other duties.Tactics was the killer. -
RE: Table Tactics New Product Releaseposted in Other Axis & Allies Variants
I bought some loose TWG stuff on Ebay.Nice Tiger! The ships were good too,but the nice Type XXI subs were large, but I think all the subs have gotten too large since the classic.
Plus they sit higher out of the water than AA types.Wished I had gotten more ME 262s. -
RE: Re: Field Marshal Games Pieces Project Discussion threadposted in Other Axis & Allies Variants
True about the Finnish version of twisted cross. They had used their version for quite a while.I think it was the personnal family emblem of one of Finlands early supporters(Rosen?).
It was also used by native Americans, among others. -

Just for fun some alternatives- truck-one of the Maultiers,Fighter-He100(might have entered service, but they wanted Heinkel to concentrate on bombers),Odin-proposed CV/BB
hybrid(Z plan),coastal u boat,sdkfz 7,etc. -

I still have vinyl(plastic) maps for my old Helen of Toy naval games. Those babies are closing
on their 50th birthday. -
RE: Table Tactics New Product Releaseposted in Other Axis & Allies Variants
Oh well,so much for the Swedes.Still looking forward to the Turan/Zyrinyi.Yeah,I think the Turan 1 was a Czech design.

Great news about the new releases Jack! I too enjoy other games where the new larger minis will fit right in.But as has been stated by many others,I would support your range
regardless. The Hungarians are a nice touch.Plus a large part of the Hungarian armor was
licensed built Swedish types,so(depending on the types represented) we have a true
neutral represented.I hope the Toldi tanks/Nimrod mobile AA/At will be represented!David

Thought I would add,the Italian Fiat BR20 was used by Japan(85 planes) during the early
war period. Also used by several other countries. -

If I remember correctly, the 61 was a copy of the SDKFZ 7.There was an excellent wheeled
carrier called the S.37 Autoprotteto. It is believed it influenced the postwar Soviet BTR 40.I
would have liked the P40/Tippo 61 combo, maybe later.I think the AC is the right vehicle for the
period. The French had several half track designs. The Germans put them to use from Dday on.
The P178 was a great design,as was the Dutch DAF.
