Modern pieces really sound good!

RE: SgtWilTan's mods and conversions of A&A pieces
Good stuff! I blew it waiting to buy the 100 count 38s till after I got the 111/Hetzer.
You creeps bought them all.I wanted to try to do do some late war conversions to
Katchens and some Swedish post war APCs.I did manage 10 more on the new order,
which was my largest to date! -
RE: Neutral Set
Just preordered 8 sets! This set will really be hard to beat(except maybe by an update of the same)!

RE: HBG Japan Supplement Set
Although just a dream(for me and the Japanese) the very long range bomber could have been filled by the massive Fugaku 6 engine beastie. There is some decent art out on this thing but little else.Hard to believe at that stage of the war there would be any interest.Raiden Models considered doing one for their Luft 46 range in 1/600
but later dropped the scale altogether.I think one of the Japanese mini toy outfits did a nice one. -
RE: Historical Board Gaming Russian Set
The SU2 looks good too. This will be a good set!

RE: Next Sets from Historical Board Gaming
The Italians are REALLY sounding good! That was a great list for the next neutral set also.I think the Orzel class was Dutch built, could be wrong and the Dutch had a decent armored force in the NEI.There was an excellent site on their Overlandwagens, don’t know if it’s still out there or not.
Many consider the Re 2005 the most attractive plane of the war.I have minis in 1/300 of both(G55) and they are indeed nice.
Although my first 2 orders to HBG have been for OOB/HBG individuals,I plan on about 10 sets when the Neutrals are released.I like the G1 also. There were several nations prepared to buy this fighter and the ones that shot up the Ju52s
in 1940 were originally built for Spain! -
RE: Modifying FMG's Italian Battleship
Nice job! Wished some one made a generic triple turrent for smaller(cruiser) ships. Some of my metal models have bad mounts due to old molds.

RE: Re: Field Marshal Games Pieces Project Discussion thread
Nice repair job on the Littorio on another thread here. The super imposed gun not too well done, don’t know how I missed that.Still a great set of minis.

RE: Re: Field Marshal Games Pieces Project Discussion thread
Got mine Tuesday!HBG says it best-for use with any miniature wargame! I’ll be using a couple of my Littorios for my 1/3000 scale Armada as a proxie battlecruiser. The DDs/MM will fit in with 1/2400 scale, the SM79/BR20 looks like they may fit in with the old
1/432 Heritage/Pewtercraft Airpower range. These things are a gold mine!Don’t get me started on the armor. -
RE: Re: Field Marshal Games Pieces Project Discussion thread
Nice pic comparing the BBs.The Littorio really blows the others out of the water! The Armada was very interested in aquiring a trio of these also, for a little twist in some naval action in the Med.

Thanks Fish,
I’m in Jax(FLA),so maybe mine won’t b to far behind!

RE: Strict Neutral Army Poll
I’ll load up on the Dutch/Poles,probably sets and singles. The inf in helmet and slouch allows use for other forces as stated. The NEI had a decent tank force and lots of local
converted armored apcs/scouts.There is a great site on their overlandwagons somewhere.I won’t bring up the Swedish/Hungarian armor at this time! -
RE: Re: Field Marshal Games Pieces Project Discussion thread
If you don’t check in here at least every other day you can really miss some good stuff!
Nice tread from DrLarsen/IL.Been working too much(plus trying to get a drugy tenant out) and missed some great entertainment.I love the idea of the Pershing however
futuristic it seems. But the Atlanta/Sumers/Gearing rocks! I know you guys are aware that the Shinano was laid down as a Yamato(as well as the # 111) and that the B64 was never considered to be a BC but just the next step in the evolution of the Jap. heavy cruiser(as the US did the Alaskas).Great job on the discussion of the Jap./US releases guys. -

Me either. But it is a fun forum!

RE: Minor Axis Army Pieces
After buying so much of my micro armor from the metal shops in Britain,it’s great to see
these projects happening here.I’ve been itching to get an order to the new H+R for some
armor/aircraft,but I’ve got to see how the plastic projects pan out.Last year I bought
armor from Rolco, men of war from Viktory II,modern jets from Oriental Trading…all plastic.I’ll be saving a bundle just in shipping.Plus the price of metal!
I too must admit to haunting this site lately.
