      Looking for an opponent for a bit slower paced forum or email game.

      I would like to play 1940 second Edition. Europe, Pacific or Global is up to you. I simply want to play :evil:

      This would be my first game via triplea, so please be a bit forgiving on when or how to organize stuff like scrambling/intercepting/casualties.

      (Also haven’t played with a bid yet…)

      Hello,

      a small question on rules…

      UK attacks the german transporter, with the fighter from greece.
      At the same time, UK attacks romania from jugoslavia.
      Germany scrambles 3 airplanes.

      Uk wins on land, germany at sea.

      In the consequence, the planes can’t land in romania again. The rules say, they may move now 1 space into a safe territory.

      but is it:
      1 territory from the airport (so eg to hungary)
      or
      1 territory from the sea zone 100 where the planes scrambled? (so the planes are dead since germany did not conquer any other territory on the black sea)

      Sadly no, because I only own pacific at the moment.

      When I change this fact in the future, there will be most certainly one for europe and one for the global map, too.

      Till then here is an updated version squeezed to four pages.

      It is intended to fold the whole thing on the columns, so it fits in the Game boxes. If everything works the turn sequence should be on top of that pile, and every player should have its own copy.

    • US 30 IPC clarification

      Hello,

      I’m looking for input on my understanding of the US 30 IPC rules.

      So there are two rules:

      • every turn 30 IPC in collect income if at war

      • once 30 IPC immediately if unprovoked attack from Japan

      Case 1 (No attack from Japan):
      Beginning of the “collect income”-phase in US turn 3, the US realizes there is no war between JP-US, so it can declare war immediately. Because of the ongoing war now, US receives 30 bonus IPC every turn, starting this. So starting from US4 it can spend 30 IPC more.

      Case 2 (unprovoked attack from Japan in JP1, JP2 or JP3):
      Let’s say, Japan attacks US in turn 2. Instantly, while Japan is still on its turn, US receives 30IPC bonus payment. So after Japans turn in US2, US has already 30IPC more to spend. And starting with US3, the US has 30IPC more every turn from rule 1. So together, starting from US2 it can spend 30 IPC more.

      Or is it in someway possible for the US to receive both (30+30) extra IPC’s in one turn?

      Hello all,

      I’ve made a small reference document for AA1940 pacific 2nd edition that i’d like to share.

      The goal was in the first place to act like a reminder (and explanation) for things like shore bomb., convoy raiding, strategical bombing, … Things that often get forgotten in my experience.
      Second to minimize the constant need for passing the rulebook between the players for things like national objectives and unit characteristics.
